PRISTINA, Serbia-Montenegro (AP) -- Ethnic Albanians torched Serb homes and churches Thursday as Kosovo convulsed in a second day of violence, its worst since the province's war ended in 1999.

Serbian nationalists set mosques elsewhere on fire and threatened to retaliate with "slaughter and death," and NATO sent reinforcements to quell tensions in the U.N.-run province and ease the threat of renewed conflict in the volatile Balkans.

Hey -- Shouldn't the UN be consulted with AND a resolution passed before clueless NATO forces begin aimlessly and randomly "enforcing the peace" once again?

We shouldn't gloat about this, but the press has repeatedly referred to the "successful war in Kosovo" as a sign of the wisdom of Clinton and Clark. But it is arguable that we are closer to a long-term solution in Iraq than we are in Kosovo. The Kosovo war did not resolve the underlying dispute about the eventual status of Kosovo - part of Serbia, independent nation, etc., nor did it put an end to "ethnic cleansing." The press just stopped talking about the ethnic cleansing once the Serbs were on the receiving end.

"The clashes, which began Wednesday when ethnic Albanians blamed Serbs for the drownings of two children, have killed at least 31 people and wounded hundreds more, including several dozen U.N. police and NATO peacekeepers"

That’s about half the casualties from the Baghdad hotel bombing yesterday, but I’m sure there are 100 people who heard of those "Bush war" casualties for every one familiar with these of Clinton.

"The international community's drive to reduce (NATO) forces and the U.N. police for cost reasons and because of Iraq has turned out to be an error," warned Winfried Nachtwei, a German lawmaker who visited Kosovo this week.

It's in YOUR backyard. Can't you people act like men for once in your lives and do something for yourself? We're tired of carrying your water for you. Get yourself another lacky. We're tired of being insulted by a bunch of wimpy europeans who can't even defend themselves. Let's see some german and french troops for a change.

About 70 - 80 NATO soldiers have died in Kosovo since June 1999

Clinton and Gen Clark took the KLA terrorists and gave them fat salaries, fancy promotions, and generally treated them like the good guys

For example: KLA Commander Remi was promoted to MajorGeneral Rustem Mustafa by Clark. he was paid a salary ( courtesy US taxpayer) appropriate with his being a MajorGeneral.

Then GWB came to the scene and some time passes

........Clark's protege, MajorGeneral Rustem Mustafa gets arrested, tried, and convicted for the systemic murder of his fellow Albanians before, during, and after Clinton's bombing Campaign.

Clinton's pals the KLA have murdered more than 1,000 of their fellow Albanians and more than 2,500 others

As one NATO General stated a few months ago we bombed the wrong side

Sadly the spin on Haiti and Kosovo from the media will be that Clinton fixed it, and then Bush screwed it up.

The Cleaning lady met KLA leader Thaqi in Washingotn DC March 16th, one day before rampage. Thaqi also met with Clinton remnants in The State Department.

Clintonistas never sleep. Rummie should take note.

all this NATO shuffling and redeployments to Serbian province is simply ridiculous and waste of resources. What good is 20K, 50K or 100K soldiers that rather stay in barracks and play cards than go out in some wild corner of the world and round the clock guard poor people and old crumbled churches from terrorists?
Fact: unless Serbian military and police is invited back to Serbian province to protect Serbian citizens from terrorists and to reestablish order, under UN & NATO protectorate terrorists will ethnically cleanse Serbian province of non-Albanian population.
And why oh why UN & NATO would you side with terrorists in ethnic cleansing campaign???

Many prayers for the Serbs, who have taken it and taken it.
They and Russia stand at the frontlines of this worldwide war. To them we owe much.

Quick! Someone tell me again why we need a lotta coalition partners or, God forbid, the UN in Iraq?

French forces pelt the Albanians with their pink parasols, Germans salute smartly as they continue their rampage, and the Belgians kiss them on the mouth and immediately bend over and grab their ankles. Quite accommodating these "partners" of ours.

U.S. forces, for the most part, are the only ones with the cojones to actually do some fighting so we might as well keep most of the others out of our way. Hell, all they'd do is provide cover and hostages for our enemies.
