My concern is this: after embarrassing himself and his profession by so quickly blaming Terri's parents for Terri's wounds, which he said were puncture wounds caused by a needle, George Felos is now backpedaling, as is the physician who first saw and identified the wounds.
Something is rotten here. And this cannot be allowed to be swept under the rug as is happening here.
There are other stories in the news: the deaths of our people in Iraq, one of whom is from Florida, and the tragic hit-and-run accident in Tampa a few days ago.
But we need to push for an accounting of what has happened to Terri. Esp. now that parents, priests, friends are all barred from seeing her.
Prayerfully submitted. May God help us help Terri in whatever big and little ways we can. We rely on His strength, wisdom, and mercy. May this draw us all to a closer, more honest walk with Him, regardless of where we are starting out!

Is it not obvious that local law enforcement is engaged in a huge conspiracy? :~)

As quick as he acted upon this and made the very vocal accusations against Terri's parents', I can't help but think that he caused the marks...only to turn around and point at her parents'. Takes the focus off him and accomplishes his mission of total control. As for the law enforcement and the courts'....I wonder where all of Terri's money went. Hmmmmm Just some food for thought.

If there is "no evidence of a crime" then what do you call the scratches, needle marks on her arms & stomach, a dis-shelved feeding tube, loosing teeth and on and on??? What in God's Name is going on? One would have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to see the obvious! Or, demon-possessed, perhaps?
There has to be someone in that facility that would be willing to talk publically or at least to an attorney. I pray for consciences to be tweeked, no tormented.
Had to rant. Sorry.

Hi, SFR -- rueful lol -- you sure are fast on those! Well, here's a bump for you :o) I am so thankful for FR, for JimRob's vision and work. It is good to be here with likeminded people who seek the whole story and are trying to arrive at positive solutions on a variety of troubling issues.
That's what this thread is about, finding positive solutions and wise courses of action. Please ping, I don't have my list!
If you don't post in response to this ping, please *do* remember us in prayer -- it is so clear now that Terri is being inhumanely treated. Thanks so much!

Thanks for posting this, cyn ... I'm truly heartened by these lines:
<< ``It's an excuse for him to cut off the family's access. Once again he has cut off the flow of information,'' said Tragos, a former federal and state prosecutor who volunteered to represent the Schindlers.>>
Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that a former federal and state prosecutor has stepped forward to help the Schindlers in their efforts to halt the march of death upon their beloved daughter. Grant him success, Merciful Father, for he is but one of a few to stand before an ungodly mighty force, yet such was Gideon. Stir the agencies who have oversight to look into complaints raised over Terri's treatment, or her lack of treatment. Bring forth that one person and that one Judge and that one effort and that one prayer ... unite them, that together they will be the key that unlocks the door to Terri's prison. May it be thus, O God, in the victorious Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

"There is no evidence a crime was committed against Terri Schiavo this week. . ."That's a troubling statement, isn't it. That's what this is all about. Attention must remain focused on this most recent assault on Terri.
How to accomplish this? I believe we will each think of different ways we can do it -- eg, carefully-worded letters to the editor, emails, phone calls, as mentioned in previous threads.

Joining you in that prayer! And that each of us, regardless of where we are now, are drawn into a better understanding of and closer relationship with the God who calls us to live in light, rather than in darkness.

It is really sad that some people can be duped so easily. One look at Michael and I thought he was a con. These people are either being paid off or are extremely stupid.
Let's not forget the prayers' either. They can be more effective than any amount of words to the world are.
To: cyn; All
I have just checked in today, and it will probably be only for a little while. Very busy schedule today. However, I'm hoping that my e-mail to the CPD will be heeded. I asked them to please remember that Michael should be a suspect in this as well, and that the truth of what happened to Terri should be fully investigated. I know we all suspect Michael, but it really could have been anyone there who had unsupervised access to Terri. I'm hoping that with FDLE looking over their shoulder that they'll want to do a thorough job.
Meanwhile, if they think nothing has been done to Terri by her parents, they should inform Michael, and the Schindler's new lawyer should petition Greer to have visitation rights reinstated. Perhaps they could use the offer of a security camera as a way to assure Michael that there isn't any funny business going on. Of course, I would expect Michael to turn down that request.
To another point, I was wondering on the other thread about the Pope issuing a statement recently that removing feeding tubes from people in a PVS state is euthanasia by omission, if we should now contact the legislature again to reword the law so that PVS would be taken out of that category. If anyone thinks we could make a go of it, well, I'm willing to bombard them again! In fact, I will write them again whether or not anyone joins me, but of course, I think it would be more effective if there were many letters coming in regarding this issue.

From the article:
``It's an excuse for him to cut off the family's access. Once again he has cut off the flow of information,'' said Tragos, a former federal and state prosecutor who volunteered to represent the Schindlers.Go, Mr. Tragos! This is the fighting spirit the Schindlers need! And he providing his services pro-bono. Thank G-d.

Michael Schiavo's complaint to police this week is the latest in a series of cruelties inflicted on the Schindlers, their new criminal defense attorney, George Tragos, said Tuesday. ``It's an excuse for him to cut off the family's access. Once again he has cut off the flow of information,'' said Tragos, a former federal and state prosecutor who volunteered to represent the Schindlers.
On the previous thread someone mentioned that a highly credentialed attorney had seen Felos accusing Terri's parents of essentially assaulting her, and became so outraged he immediately volunteered to represent Terri's parents pro bono. Is George Tragos that attorney?
Does anyone know if Tragos is replacing Pat Anderson as lead attorney for the Schindlers, or will he be assisting her? Can we get anymore information about Tragos? I'm wondering if he was a state prosecutor in Florida. That would be a huge benefit to the Schindler legal team.
If there's a spotlight on this criminal investigation and Michael's allegations towards the Schindlers, it could force Michael to make the media rounds again. That would be a good thing. I know a lot of people whose first exposure to Terri's case was seeing MS and Felos on the Larry King show last year. Everyone of them I talked to had concluded that MS was a lowlife and probably a sociopath, and attorney Felos was a book huckster. Remember MS on TV with his shirt unbuttoned halfway down his chest and his huge gold chains? Remember his explicit and tasteless recounting of Terri's gynecological exams?
In my opinion, Michael Schiavo in the eye of the media is the most effective tool the Schindlers have for influencing public perceptions in Terri's favor. I hope this story puts him there again.

To another point, I was wondering on the other thread about the Pope issuing a statement recently that removing feeding tubes from people in a PVS state is euthanasia by omission I've been thinking about that, too. In the early history of the case, the Schindlers made the argument that Terri was a Catholic, and that as a Catholic she would be against euthanasia for herself or anyone else. What I'm wondering is this. Now that the Pope has made this declaration specifically about dehydration/starvation, doesn't it deprive Terri of her constitutional right of freedom to practice her religion? Can the state of Florida order the dehydration/starvation of a patient with no advance healthcare directives when that order directly opposes the tenets of the patient's religion?

hi, lonevoice, good questions -- ping to those who might know answers. As fv has pointed out before, there is so much going on all the time behind the scenes, with so many lawyers and others involved in this group effort for Terri. God bless them all, and give them rest and insight and everything else they need -- they are all in our prayers!

"In my opinion, Michael Schiavo in the eye of the media is the most effective tool the Schindlers have for influencing public perceptions in Terri's favor. I hope this story puts him there again." -- yes indeed. Is that maybe why they're so quiet?
If this current episode was not an embarrassment to them, if there was any way to milk this against the Schindlers, you know doggone well they'd be doing it. Felos is a master at PR, manipulating public opinion in various ways.
