April 7, 2004 -- FALLUJAH, Iraq - In a narrow alley, Marines pinned down by a hail of guerrilla fire sent up red smoke in a cry for help. Tanks pounded shell after shell into houses, while troops on the city's edge crawled forward on their bellies, firing on guerrillas.

I'll also never understand why we don't use, at the very least, nationality profiling during the Customs process.

Surely you jest? The right joins w/the ACLU to scream about civil liberties at the same time they bash the administration for not preventing 9/11. As we speak, the ACLU is suing over the *do not fly* list.

Too many people will sell out our security in the name of privacy, which is equated w/freedom. These same people seem to think they can stop terrorism by concealed carry of automatic arms.

Do I sound bitter? This sort of insanity keeps me up at night, so I guess bitterness is accurate.

The people who want us dead and gone hate everything we stand for. They only cross our shores in order to eventually harm us. If they win, there will be no such thing as privacy or civil liberties and gun ownership will not be available to the remaining dhimmis.

Yesterday evening, U.S. planes firing rockets destroyed four houses in two neighborhoods, witnesses said. The strike killed 26 Iraqis, including women and children,

This would be devastating to America's reputation in the Islamic/Arab world IF Al Jazeera and other "mainstream" Arab media outlets had not been screeching and ranting at full volume since October '01 over hyped, slanted or entirely delusional "crusader" atrocities. Since they're already at "10" they can't turn the volume up any more!

Having been damned even if we "don't," there's no sense now in foolish restraint. I'm not saying, of course, that civilians should be targeted, but only that, in Fallujah, if so much as one bullet flies out of a house aimed at our troops, we should send one bomb crashing in. Move down the street and repeat.

I totally agree with you. I would have a hard time restraining myself from not shooting every single one of them that stuck their head out.

When word gets out that some of the Fallujah murderers were identified through pictures (probably taken by media cameras) the reporters might not be so welcome in other towns and may become targets themselves.

"Give the families of Fallujah 48 hours to leave the town. Inspect those leaving for weapons, and then level the place as a warning to those who want to burn, kill, or harm in any way the presence of American military in other sections of Iraq and the Arab world generally."

From the things I have read of the history of the middle east, they would understand this more than us trying to make nice. We've tried the carrot, now its time for the stick.

Don't they mean female terrorists and junior terrorists? Kill'em all.

looking back into ancient history, we find that the Romans were able to maintain control over their massive empire with the numbers of troops they had with one tactic and one tactic alone. If even one of their legions was attacked or killed, the offending town or city was razed to the ground and the earth was salted.

Sounds like Fallujah should become the "salt of the earth" eh?

Kick their A** and take no names Marines and God Speed! Our prayers are with you!

Cheers!

Now your talking! The murder, mayhem of American civilians in Fallujah was a media event. I'd pull in the media to determine if they had a hand in creating those barbaric scenes, and then restrict every damn one of them to receipt of military cleared photos of war scenes.

We don't need the marxist CNN, Washington Post and New York Times reporting the actions of American military movements.

Not only that if I was one of the animals in that AP footage--I would dye my hair and alter my appearance. I suppose they can't go blonde like our fugitives do--that in and of itself would draw attention.

God bless our troops and give them, and our country, the strength to see this Sadr battle through to the end.

The real problem is that these are pretty green troops. It appears that the attacks were somewhat influenced by the timing of the large troop rotations that have been going on.
