Rice appeared rattled when Watergate prosecutor Richard Ben-Veniste confronted her with the title of the presidential daily briefing (PDB) forwarded to Bush at his Crawford ranch on Aug. 6, 2001: “Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States.” Rice called it “historical information based on old reporting” that did not warn of new attacks. Ben-Veniste countered that it established a pattern of suspicious activities and challenged the administration to declassify the memo so the American people could decided its relevance for themselves.

After reading this I had to send Eleanor some email


My Dear Eleanor,

For years I have watched you on the tube. It is quite a show you put on! Now this piece of tripe you write for Newsweek. It will interest you to know that well over half of the country does not agree with your thoughts. What should the President apologize for? What should Dr. Rice apologize for? I would like an answer. I want to know the lies that the Bush Administration has told the American public? And if you use WMD I will throw ,this lie, right back in your face and give you every Democratic quote from Bill Clinton to Ted Kennedy on the dangers of WMD and Saddam's aims on using them. As far as the UN I remember your shrill arguments against the containment policy in which you stated, that it had killed thousand of children in Iraq and the oil for food program, sponsored by the UN, was not enough to help the children of Iraq, do you remember that? Now what do you say, when it looks like everybody and their dog, at the UN, skimmed millions of dollars in profits off of this program? Do you still think the UN has the moral authority to go back in Iraq and do what? Take more money? What about your argument that Iraq was all about cheap oil? Well, where the hell is the cheap oil Eleanor? One last point Eleanor when you or Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry come up with some of this off the wall stuff. Do you ever think it emboldens our enemies? Do you think, they do not see and hear these extreme liberal debates? Do you not think our enemies think if I kill one more American they will just give up and go home? There was a time and day, Eleanor when politics ended at shores edge and there was ample reason for this thought. Iraq is one battle, on the war on terror just as the North African campaign was in WWII. Eleanor it is you and extreme liberal friends who owe us all, an apology. The thoughts espoused by all of you, are nothing but a partisan grab for power, that have done nothing but divide this country in a time of war and put the lives of our soldiers at risk.

Neutered the CIA and other intelligence gathering agencies.
Failed to respond to numerous terrorist attacks in the US and abroad.
Repeatedly rejected offers to deliver OBL to the US.
Failed to allow airlines to identify and prevent suspicious middle eastern types from special scrutiny before boarding.

People like you are not true Americans as you put your partisan desire for power before the good of the people, encourage our enemies, and dishearten our troops. People like you are the enemy's greatest weapon and you are eager to help them defeat us. Ironically, people like you would be the first to be eliminated if the enemy prevails.
