Since they could "get" Condi, I've noticed that they're turning their attention to Ashcroft.

It's pitiful, and sooooo transparent.

Don't you think that if these "witch hunts" keep up until September or October, the American people are their eyes will just glaze over from the constant repetition and they're going to be turned off by all the negativity.

Speaking of eyes glazing over, anybody ever watch the folks that Kerry's speaking to. Nobody cracks a smile or a grin, they all look "dead." Compare this to pictures of Bush speaking, where folks are smiling and it's a stark contrast.

Wallace tries to pin BV into why he wouldn't let Rice finish her answer and gets an answer that made no sense whatsoever.

Now the love fest between the Dem and Repub. Where are our spokesman to show this for what is was? Partisan politics.

Does anyone know the email to the Commission?

Yes. There were very strict limitations enacted by LAW to keep them from sharing much information, a result of the Church commission back in the 70's.

I do not share your opinion about Bremer. I find him very credible, and considering what he has to say, there is no need for him to be dramatic.

The whole thing blew up in Benvenista's face---all he wanted 'revealed' was the doc tite that 'bin Laden had threated to attack within the US.'

Yes--to any logical person, it did. What depresses me is that on the wires (AP, Reuters, UPI) they are reporting this as if Bush got caught lying about having oral sex with an intern and committing perjury. Trying to reason with these people would be akin to trying to explain to Henrich Himmler that murdering the Jews was wrong.

Chris Wallace is really nailing B-V about his "grilling" of Dr. Rice.

Glad to hear that! Thanks.

Ben-Veniste started his answer to Chris Wallace saying "Walter Pinkus has the best perspective -- as the best journalist in Washington on this things..." and then goes on to quote Pinkus that "the CIA agent's motive in writing this Briefing was to warn that more needs done to pursue the terrorist activities" being reported.

Wallace properly tried to interrupt to say "I'm not interested in what some reporter is saying but rather what you as a Commissioner sees" but Ben-Ven-@hole wouldn't be denied his opportunity to read the Washington Post.

Thanks. Midst all the bloviating and blaming of these 2 entities, the commissioners have failed to recognise and state this fact.

Ben Veniste et al keep saying that the FBI and CIA "didn't talk to each other." Isn't it true that each was forbidden to do so because of a Congressional act/ruling? Set me straight on this if you know.

I believe that is true. And one of the elements of the Patriot Act changed that. The CIA was (and may still be) prohibited from any actions inside the US; they operated strictly on foreign interests. Clinton/Albright even prohibited the CIA from interacting and using 'low life' contacts. Clinton/Albright tied the hands of the CIA to accomplish their function.

I watch it every week!
Buchanan may be wrong but the man's got passion!
A few weeks ago, Lawrence O'Donnell made a very disquieting prediction. He stated 2 years ago, when no one knew of John Kerry, he would be the Democrat presidential candidate. He followed up with the prediction that J Kerry would win the election.
With his connections to both the DNC and the Hollywood elite, one has to wonder, what will be used against our President.

Re: The McLaughlin Group has become the "Mc Laugh in" Group, it was bad enough that Eleanor Clift bad mouthed the Bush administration but now Pat Buchanan and McLaughlin himself have joined in the anti-Bush and antiwar diatribe every week. It is absolutely despicable the vile rhetoric that comes out of the mouths of Clift, Buchanan and McLaughlin. It borders on treason!

Tony Blankley is the only person on the program who has a grain of common sense any more.

We refuse to watch the blather any more.

Happy Easter to all.

And please pray for our troops. Semper Fi,
Kelly

Well, which CIA agent and how would Pinkus know?

I will tell you how. Pinkus is a friend of Wilson and his wife, and I believe Plame and other Clintonistas embedded in the CIA feed him "helpful" information, all from an anti-Bush perspective.

Why is Pinkus being talking about a CIA briefer? Pinkus couldn't have had that information, so someone contacted him. Or, he is making it up.

I just opened my Sunday paper to this headline - front page:
Hijacking threat cited before 9-11
from The Washington Post

With a sidebar: "Rice's credibility in doubt"
The Los Angeles Times

This is why I canceled my newspaper except for Sunday's where it pays for itself with sales and coupons. The inside story claims both sides are to blame - 17A doesn't mention Condi's name in the headline.

If Bent Penista is quoting the Washingon Composte as his only alibi for his witch hunt--then he is almost out of steam.

Time for Kerry to come out from behind one of his mansions now and start playing the game again---his allies lost this one.

I wish they would use BV as a spokesman for Kerry. That would win the election for GWB for sure. The guy is so unlikeable.

Anyone who can't see that doesn't deserve the right to vote

So if "Walter Pinkus" has the best perspective why did "The Commission" need to question Condi Rice?

Just call old Walter in and have him testify, this should make the situation clear to us all.

I am commenting totally on communication skills and image projection.

Thanks. MM traces it back to the Church committee in the 70s, but I'm not at all surprised that Clinton/Albright further strengthened the hog-tying.
