WASHINGTON, May 11 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Council on American- Islamic Relations (CAIR) today condemned the murder of an American civilian in Iraq by a group claiming links to Al-Qaeda.

A video posted on an Internet web site shows the beheading of a Philadelphia man working as a contractor in Iraq whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday. The group that carried out the killing said it was in retaliation for the ongoing Iraq prison abuse scandal.

In its statement, the Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group said:

"We condemn this cold-blooded murder and repudiate all those who commit such acts of mindless violence in the name of religion. We call on people of all faiths and cultures to work together for peace and reconciliation, not war and destruction."

CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 26 regional offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada.

This is a war ... a world war ... WW3 WW4 (WW3 was the Cold War, this is a bit hotter)

Dare I say, Onward, Christian soldiers ... or will the religionazi's jump on that?

Onward Christian soldiers, onward Jewish soldiers, onward Hindu soldiers, onward Buddist soldiers, onward wiccan soldiers, onward muslim soldiers, et al.

Anyone is welcome to join the fight against Islamofascists.

I'm not sure CAIR is a religous theological organization as much as a political one. Reforming Islam is not (probably should not) be on their agenda. Although I would agree that at least the teaching of Islam needs to be changed.

Too little, too late. Besides, they are Muslims and we are the infidel that they are directed to lie to and destroy, so why should I want to encourage any kind of communication with them? It is naive to think that any Muslim could ever be a true and honest friend of any non-Muslim. When they denounce Islam and the teachings of the Qu'ran, then I will listen, until then all any Muslim will get from me is my back.

When these fiends meet the Almighty on the other side, and start to whine and snivel that it's all the jews fault, they are in for a real shock. The filthy old men who are preaching murder, hatred, and suicide for sex, are in for it as well.

He wasn't Muslim, so that makes him the "enemy"...
Muzzies don't see the difference between combatant and non-combatant. You are either a Muzzie or an Infidel
You put those same "Heros of the Jihad" in front of a squad of US Marines and they'll snivel and pee on themselves, and brutally attack the helpless as soon as the Marines were gone.
They and those that back and support them are scum..
(hear me? You DU/ANSWER zipperheads!! THIS MEANS YOU!!)
..and deserve to be treated with the same respect they grant us.
None. I will never condone torture, but I do think a bullet to the head and the reamins buried in a ditch is decent enough treatment.

Heck, they probably are sorry - it's destroyed their little victim-fest, now hasn't it? Is anybody still going to take a pair of panties over the head seriously in the face of another guy's head getting cut off?

The beheading is normal behavior for Al Queda..The missionary couple that spent a yr as hostages of Abu Sayyaf (a branch of Al Queda) had beheadings of hostages in their group. Martin, his wife and another Philippine hostage were shot by the Phillipine army who were trying to rescue them, he died, and Philipino woman died, but his wife lived to write the book on their experience "In the presence of my enemies". The Al Queda are barbarians plain and simple, no matter what they call themselves, and God is not interested in them, they are sons of the devil.
I think we should send more special forces, root them out and not take them as POW's....imho

Looks like muzzie/socialist crap to me.

Why was CAIR established?

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a non-profit, grassroots membership organization. We have headquarters in Washington, D.C., and CAIR chapters across America. CAIR was established to promote an accurate image of Islam and Muslims in America. We believe misrepresentations of Islam are most often the result of ignorance on the part of non-Muslims and reluctance on the part of Muslims to articulate their case.

What's CAIR's mission?

CAIR is dedicated to presenting an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public. In Offering that perspective, we seek to empower the Muslim community in America through political and social activism.

How does CAIR carry out its mission?

Media Relations

We work with media professionals around America to help shape an accurate image of Islam. CAIR activists also monitor the local, national and international media to challenge negative stereotypes of Islam and Muslims.

Conferences and Seminars

We organize conferences and seminars for media professionals, government officials and the academic community. These events are designed to present otherwise unavailable information about Islam and Muslims.

Publications

A variety of publications addressing the needs of Muslims in America are offered to opinion leaders and the public. We also publish a quarterly newsletter Faith In Action. CAIR also produces practical handbooks, such as "Hajj and Ramadan Publicity Kits," for use by Muslim leaders and activists.

Action Alerts

CAIR issues action alerts to local communities as a means of promoting local activitism and generating a grassroots response on important issues. We believe local response is a key factor in making our voices heard.

No, CAIR is nothing at all like the Catholic League, but instead very much like the Brown Shirts. You obviously no nothing of either group, nor their respective belief systems.

Amen, brother.
