Wish it didn't follow an apology for mistakes...I do not believe any military, or leadership could have done, or could be doing, any better than our awesome military today in this tricky land.
Can you imagine Americans during WWII treating each day's events as if it were a sporting event - forgetting Pearl Harbor and the gas chambers, forgetting that one side in this fight is our bravest loved ones who fight to liberate strangers and save children, and the other side - our ENEMIES - individuals who would mass-murder their neighbors in the name of some sick philosophy - no matter the label - and Americans, led by their corrupt press and pols, judging those who defend their freedom, and pronouncing them guilty on rough days - which in the real world always happen - the days our troops need our support the most.
I will not apologize for the actions of this military, under this leadership in this war.
Anyone can criticize, few could do what these men and women have been called on to do - with such professionalism, courage, and HONOR.
Crazy days.
Bump.
You're a true patriot, Ragtime Cowgirl.
That's exactly what's going on, and I think it is one of the great handicaps we have in fighting this particular war. The media has been treating it like a video game.
Not only that, but they have been assigning the US the role of the bad guys, the team that should be booed. I don't think that ever happened in WWII.
Thanks for all your great posts, btw.
We are winning ~ the bad guys are losing ~ trolls, terrorists, democrats and the mainstream media are sad ~ very sad!
I called McCain's DC office and hung up on his "military" staffer droning on how we "have to show the prison photos".
Kerry prefers the UN and France--and chooses McCain as his SecDef--
A couple of Manchurian Candidates attempting a coup--
No thanks, we'll keep our President who respects and appreciates our fine people in uniform.
After Nic Berg, you're either for Zarqawi or for America.
