Republicans believe that Democrats, who have used reports of Iraqi prisoner abuse as an avenue to attack President Bush on the war, might be overplaying their hand

Yesterday, at a campaign stop in Arkansas, Mr. Kerry was sharper in his criticism of the war effort than he has ever been, boasting that "when Bill Clinton left office not one young American in uniform was dying in a war anywhere in this world." What a truly assinine statement. I guess that that makes FDR a pretty crappy president. You don't go to war unless you need to, but when you need to, some blood will be shed. It is the price of freedom.

Democrats are positive they want to go back to sleep. That's what Clinton's presidency was: blissful ignorant sleep. It was so September 10. The current rhetoric of the Kerry campaign is an attempt to reach mushy middletarians who might want to cop a little bit of that nice nap.

Peace through strength, as demonstrated through the Reagan years, only works if we are willing to back up our words. During Clinton's administration terrorists went unpunished time and time again...

There goes Querry, snorkeling in the cesspool again.
Don't you know his hollow heart goes all aflutter when there's bad news in Iraq?
Whatta disgraceful human being.
He is as soulless and self-serving as ever Clinton was/is, but bereft of the latter's cunning or political instinct.
I'm gonna love watching his concession speech early on the evening of November 2nd.

Evidently, Kerry's never heard of the U.S.S. Cole and Khobar towers bombings.

"Kosovo doesn't count?" Of course not.
All Democrats know that Kosovo wasn't a "serious" war. But it was nonetheless "necessary" -- so as to divert attention from the Cox Report and make people forget impeachment and Juanita Broaddrick.
All perfectly good reasons -- if you're a Democrat. But Kosovo wasn't a "war". Not really...

The Republican complaints about political attacks linked to the war, Miss Brazile said, is typical of an administration "that will not take responsibility for anything."Bad grammer aside, Miss Brazile has it all wrong. The fact that our military is in Iraq and Saddam has been deposed is overwhelming evidence that this Administration feels a great responsibilty not only to US citizens, but the rest of the world.

Their atacks are backfiring with many people and move voters off the fence into either the Bush or Kerry camps. Most likely, the majority of undecided voters are moving into the anti-Kerry, pro-Bush camp and therefore the Dimocrats' strategy is failing. The Dims are so out of touch with conservative and centrist voters that they just can't believe their attacks will backfire. With Kerry leading the attacks, this has truly become a case of the blind leading the blind.

BTW, "Cubalibre" is not a code word for anything, it's just the name of a refreshing alchoholic beverage.

I do not know who will vote for whom. Iraq is not a flower bed as promised. Our soldiers are fighting hard. We have lost many lives to the war. I pray that this war will not be proved unwarranted. The leftist attacks against our efforts undermines out troops. The demoRats are always out in front of the media proclaiming their true love for America and "DEMOCRACY". Why don't they want a Representative Republic? This "Democracy" push is an irritation.

Kerry seems to have forgotten Northern Watch and Southern Watch. Our pilots being fired on by anti-air missiles while trying to enforce UN resolutions. As well as sailors, soldiers and airmen dying in Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, and Qatar due to accidents.

Yeah, and that's the problem. That's why 9-11 happened.
