'Global dimming' may stop the Earth overheating
It's official: the world is getting darker. Scientists now agree that as cloud cover and particles in the atmosphere increase, the amount of radiation reaching us from the Sun is falling. And although they are nervous about raising the idea, they think the effect may help protect us from global warming.

Dims are more affected by global dimming than normal people

Between correcting her and the six year old talking like a baby, I feel like all I do is correct. In our household we simply refused to acknowledge baby talk. If the kid wanted something he needed to express himself properly or he just didn't get what he wanted. It didn't take long for each of them to catch on, I can tell you!
Same thing with tying shoes. You want to go out and play? Tie your shoes. Can't do it? Practice until you can. Want to go to the store and get something? Learn to count money and make change. Little incentives work wonders with kids!

You mean the Earth has survived for so long because it takes care of itself????...with God's oversight of course!
Amazing!

Coincidence? I think not. Certainly not. As light fades, the mirror's effectiveness is diminished. It's all an illusion.
Why, in fact, I look exactly like Tom Selleck...at night...with the lights out.

So UVA and UBV are not part of visible light spectrum? (Bear with me please :) Physics was not my strong suit.)

So UVA and UBV are not part of visible light spectrum? No, ultraviolet light is not visible. (remember "black lights" and the associated posters?) The name is consistent with this. Ultra violet refers to fact that the frequency of the electromagnetic radiation is higher than that of violet light.
Similarly, infrared refers to that fact that the frequecy of the radiation is bleow that of red light.
To: mewzilla
So UVA and UBV are not part of visible light spectrum? Nope. Visible light is in a band of the spectrum that runs from just above infra-red to just under ultra-violet. Everything in between those we can see to some degree or another.
The entire spectrum, visible and not visible more or less, is what is radiated from our sun. Everything from radio waves to gamma rays.
