Thanks! Wish it didn't have to be written, however!

The USA is nearer to dissolution than I ever dared think. I just hope I don't live to see it.

The word "men" is being removed from our language almost completely.

It's being replaced by the dreary neuter word "menandwimmin" so as not to offend those whose goal in life is to be offended at every opportunity.

"Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless people, who jump and die,
People who mean just what they say,
Those brave people, of the green beret"

Doesn't sound the same to me.

These two songs definitely have to go too.

Anchors Aweigh

Stand Navy out to sea, Fight our Battle Cry;
We'll never change our course, So vicious foe steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll out the TNT, Anchors Aweigh. Sail on to Victory
And sink their bones to Davy Jones, Hooray!

Anchors Away, my boys, Anchors Aweigh.
Farewell to foreign shores,
We sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night on shore, Drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more.
Here's wishing you a happy voyage home.

Blue of the Mighty Deep; Gold of God's Sun
Let these colors be till all of time be done, done, done,
On seven seas we learn Navy's stern call:
Faith, Courage, Service true, with Honor, Over Honor, Over All.

The Navy Hymn

Eternal Father, Strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bid'st the mighty Ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
O hear us when we cry to thee,
for those in peril on the sea.

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
and calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea!

Most Holy spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea!

O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee,
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

It's because they wear those faggety-white uniforms.

Well, I don't think the midshippersons at Annapolis are going to like this at all!

In a related move,

"seamen" will now be called...?

"Manning ones' battle stations," will now be referred to as..?

A "Man-of-war" will be called a..?

And while we're at it, I suppose the Naval Academy will push to eliminate the ages-old tradition of saving "women and children first," in the event of a sinking ship?

Oh, nice re-write. It even covers transvestites and homosexuals.

Now they have to redo the Star-Spangled Banner too!! Isn't this FUN?

"Oh thus be it ever when free men shall stand,
Between their loved homes and the wars desolation.
Blessed with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land,
Praise the Power that made and preserved us a Nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto 'In God is our trust'."

(One of those extra stanzas the Supreme Court would rather you don't sing)

Oh dear, we'll have to do something about that "Heaven" and "Power", and while we're at it, maybe we should re-write the Declaration of Independence - all that stuff about Creator, etc. Then we can move on the Bible and de-genderfy that and pull out all those references to God in it.

I think this society is sick and getting sicker by the minute.

The current PC correct way:

"Fighting Army personnel from the sky
Fearless females and/or males, who jump and fulfill their duties,
Females and/or males who mean just what they say,
Those brave females and/or males, of the green beret"

That is the way it would be written in today's PC service.

Why does the media,
Hate our country?
They misguide her,
And deride her,
Day and night, all the time, endlessly.

From the papers,
To the networks
To the "Moore-ons", white with foam,
All hate America,
Our home, sweet home
Allllll hate America,
They hate our home"

To the tune of "God Bless America"

"Well, women are NOT part of the schools heritage! "

Since 1976 they are. I don't care what they use for their alma mater or fight song, but women are definitely a part of the Academy's traditions, for almost 30 years.

You may not like it that women serve as Naval officers, but that's not the point. They do serve, and have done so for longer than many posting here have been alive.

That's nothing. When I attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy btwn 94 and 98, some of the more pc types in the administration and among the faculty. tried to refer to the students as Midshippersons instead of Misdshipmen. Even the girls got pissed at that.

Since 1976 they are. Which is why they changed the mission of the Naval Academy from "preparing midshipmen....to be combat officers in the Naval Service", to "preparing midshipmen....to be professional officers in the Naval Service."

A sad day, but at least a PC one.

Seems to me that by act of congress a US Navy officer is a gentleman. Since ALL officers (and thusly midshipmen) are gentlemen why would anyone be offended that their fight song calls them that?

I graduated from Marquette University when they were still the Warriors. Then they went PC and became the flapping turkeys or some such. And they still have the gall to ask me for money.

The liberals destroyed a good school. May they be saved and changed or may they be killed before they drag anyone else to hell with them. (I pray this same prayer for all liberals)

Women now serve in combat roles in the USN. With the exception of submarine duty and ground combat positions, women serve in all categories of naval duties, and serve on combat ships in all positions.

Again, you may not like this, but it is the case.
