I smell troll. Of course the fact that he signed up tomorrow might have tipped me off.

Has anyone listened to the tape of Nick Berg's beheading?......supposedly at the end there are terrorists or somebody speaking in English.

It could mean another American John Walker Lindh was at the execution if true....

Unfortunately, history has shown that to be true.

Russia had pogroms when times got tough.

Germany had a Holocaust.

Anti-semitism seems to be a tried and true method of scapegoating escapism.

Carl should take a more careful look at his sources.

Don't ever forget that Carl Limbacher hates George W. Bush.

I cannot stomach watching something gory like that, so I cannot comment.

However, the liberal bloggers are having a field day trying to discredit the Berg beheading, and they have a vast ocean of crazy conspiracy theories they are using.

The name Israel does not necessarily indicate someone being Jewish. Israel is a common first name in Catholic Latin America.

It's not his 1st name however. I bet he has dual Israeli-American citizenship..

However, I trust NewsMax and have always had the utmost confidence in their reporting.

I don't have anything against Newsmax, I'm just reading the article like I would read any other article. While I was copying and pasting the phrases in my previous post, and then read them over again by themselves, the whole thing comes off as gossip and hearsay. Who are these sources? If the report had stated something like, "a source at the Pentagon", or "a source at the CIA" it would be different, but it doesn't. "Word in NYC diplomatic circles" is not a credible source, if you're looking for facts. The most you can deduce from this article is that some people are saying certain things, but nothing has been verified. For a story like this, a source at the Pentagon or CIA would have been much more credible, or at the very least an attempt to get an offical comment from them, but there is no evidence they did, or they would have said something like "Pentagon officials refused to comment" or "Pentagon officials were unavailable for comment."

This is news to me, but I must admit that the machinations of the NewsMax operation often flies below my radar screen.

I wish the article would have been more clear on sources.

However, it is so common for news articles and reports to say, "So and so said this or that on condition of anonymity".

I have met Cuban-Americans and Mexican-Americans with the first name of Israel.

It seems to be a Christian way of showing veneration of the foundation of our faith in Christ.

Most journalists will at least use the fig leaf of "senior administration official". For all we know, Carl's sources could be the voices in his head.

That's because you got here in November of 2000; some of the nastiest stories about Bush came right off that web site in the run up to the election.

NewsMax does really good on online traffic ratings.

I feel that give reliable news, that I could never find in a print newspaper or on TV.

It's VERY common at NewsMax. Most of their stories are cuts and pastes from other stories, sometimes almost word for word.
