Normally, I am against mercy killings. All I can say is take a deep breath, CNN. It's easier than trying to fight it.

I clicked over this AM to find that they are back to focusing on Abu Graib prison "scandal" and "how high up the ranks the responsibility lay." One only can assume that they believe, Rumsfield, Meyers, Ashcroft and the President should be charged.
Leading with headlines such as this, they can only be playing to the fringe leftists here and in Europe, which will keep them bottom feeding until the swamp is drained.

"The grand social experiment that failed this country over the last 45 years will finally be over, minorities will no longer be slaves to their own leadership, quotas will be tossed out, you have the freedom to choose, however you are responsible for that choice. "
True. But then again, that might lead to Civil War II for America. Liberals ACT vicious when cornered, but a sharp rap on the beak usually quiets them down...

CNN is quite comparable to Tokyo Rose or Axis Sally and should be treated in the same fashion.

If Sherman were to march through Atlanta today, he wouldn't kill one real Southerner. (i.e., The city of Atlanta is no longer a Southern City. It's kind of like Southern Florida, infiltrated with transplanted Northern Libs. Yankee Kudzu I call them. )

Oh my, you are decidedly optimistic, aren't you?
This country will hardly go back to the Norman Rockwell painting type of living you describe even if everything you paint in your vision comes to pass.
Things may get better, maybe, but as long as the government continues to expand the powers the Constitution DOESN'T give it, continues to hire more and more federal workers, to expand it's size by creating more, and larger, bureaucracies, things won't get much better.
OK, maybe I'm a pessimist, but that's the way I see it.

Whoa... what kinda dope you smokin'?! 50% of the voters in this nation are socialists but are too stupid or ashamed to acknowledge it. I would say that 80% of these either work or benefit from state and federal tax-dollars.
They permeate government from the lowest to the highest positions. The teach our children, put out our fires and police our streets. They seldom if ever face lay-offs, get fired and have their 'company' move or go bankrupt. Government has become the major employer in most of our so-called 'progressive' states.
No... I don't share your unbridled optimism.

Not only Laurie, but how about Molly Hannenberg, Juliet Huddy and that southern belle Dagen McDowell, I think? That girl has quite a drawl!
Anyway Brit is always the best and CNN would have to clone him to win.

It's going to get worse for CNN I think. People are going more conservative IMO!I think we need to elaborate on this.
What people are switching to is objective journalism and away from advocacy journalism as practiced by CNN (ABCBSNBCetc). It may be true that more people are becoming conservative but I do not think this is the reason for the success of FoxNews or its motivation. To me there is great confusion on this.
When people comment on FoxNews they say it is conservative in political perspective when it is really only conservative in the way it approaches the presentation of news. Fair and Balanced was at one time taught as proper journalism. That kind of objective journalism in today's journalistic world is a conservative approach to the news. That does not make FoxNews politically conservative.

Oh - and as for the laughable contention that Fox is 'fair and balanced' ... it is just as biased as CNN - merely from a different direction. The problem is not bias but of integrity. If Dubya was caught in a scandal, I think Fox would cover it fully unlike CNNABCCBSNBC did w/Clinton.
OTOH, they wouldn't make up a scandal to get Clinton as CNNABCCBSNBC would do with Bush.

You don't have to go conservative in order to avoid watching CNN. A little self dignity would do it.
