Vice President Dick Cheney eventually issued an order to shoot down hijacked planes, but military pilots did not receive it until the last of the four planes — United Airlines Flight 93 — crashed after passengers fought back against the hijackers. Cheney said he received the authorization in an earlier phone call with President Bush.
Just as soon as Bush ACTS like a leader. Because leaders sit down with those they lead and lay out the facts, unabashed and with pure truth. This administration simply does not do that. Someone leaks that the 9-11 commission's preliminary report claims no Al-Queda and Saddamn connection and all Bush and Cheney can do is give some wimpy sound bytes about Saddamn's ties to Palestinian terrorists.
I constantly read the rants about the lying Dems on this and other threads and wonder when y'all might get a clue and stop yer bitching that does not one whit of good. Instead, demand your congress critters to put pressure on the administration to begin truthful "heart-to-hearts" with us idiots out here in la-la land.
How about BOTH Bush and Cheney call for a "talk" to the American people? They both sit in the oval office and list, methodically and with no apologies, the connections between Saddamn, Al-Queda and other terrorists. How about they list all the reasons Saddamn probably had weapons of mass destruction and the man was a danger to the world?
Instead we get this information second-hand and without the benefit of the bully pulpit WHICH WE HAVE, PEOPLE! Folks like you, me and thee might read all about it but to have the President and VP sit down and tell the American public straight and tell it hard, that would put an end to the freedoms this partisan commission and various Soros organizations have taken with the truth.
The TRUTH is on our side and yet the so-called leader does one lousy job of communicating it. Remember Ronald Reagan was the great communicator. You think he wouldn't have laid out his case, forcefully and honestly, HIMSELF?
The Dems, Soros and Ben Veniste are only exercising their right to free speech and lies. And they are doing a darn good job of it.

9/11 Commission Report in short: It's every American's fault...not the nice, peaceful, just misunderstood thugs who hijacked and then slammed the f@#$ing planes into our buildings killing thousands of innocent people.
It was on Smerconish. I wouldn't doubt that it wasn't armed, but it was info from a caller and they are not always reliable.
But I bet the commission never asked that question - were the interceptors armed?
That and the fact that I can't lie with a straigh face and that I actually have a conscience are the reasons why I will never run for office.

America was sucker-punched by radical islamic terrorists. We didn't fathom their brashness, we couldn't imagine their treachery. 911 was off the charts intellectually, and PC attitudes (fueled by politicians) would not have allowed any preventive action at the time. Your bluster after the fact is mere noise, and your TV time is up. You accomplished nothing and, apparently, set out to do just that.
