Bush did, in fact, give the shoot down order. It was propogated to the the NORAD commanders from Cheyenne mountain NORAD command at 10:08AM. Cheney initially thought that the flight that went down in Penn. was shot down...although as we know now it was not.
I heard that, too, not long after 9/11. The only planes available were Guard or Reserve jets that were training without ammo. I think they were at Andrews. I was amazed that that the nearest fighter cover for Washington was the Marine squadron a hundred milles away.
I'm sure the owner of the field will be upset. If he's a democrat, he'll blame the loss of his empty field on Bush.
My advice, you are over qualified for public office.
Case in point: the collective IQ of the liberal members of the 911 Commission has to be less than 60.
Exactly but isn't that part of the problem? We have a government laced with idiots.
