I think the Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy referred to this.

And what is wrong with that?

Who would not wish the same on those who have beheaded our fellow Americans and their allies.

I would gladly make suffer so.

Genghis Khan was a great man. To destroy one's enemies as sheep is a great joy. Its a pleasure western civlization should rediscover.

You know it's sometimes hard to keep up with what words are 'in' and what words are 'out'.

In radiology, the bony changes seen in dwarf syndromes used to be called the changes of "dwarfism".

Then, the Politically Correct winds blew and the preferred term became "dysplasias".

The not-too-Politically-Correct bone radiology professor lectured us on the now proper terminology only to end with,

"But I'm not too crazy about the new term...........Snow White and the Seven Dysplastics???"

The Song of Genghis Kahn:

Ah, the joys of a battle!
Either a horse or a woman to straddle,
A tent of yak skin,
And a world to win,
Yet always in the saddle.

It's reassuring, be me.
I have so much posterity!
I know that untold hordes of Asians
Will someday be my near relations.

Hitchikers Guide

My first thought. Adams was ahead of his time. Ebooks, [X]42, ....

I wonder is the his descendants have visions of galloping across plains.

Look, the whole brouhaha started because poster 'A' made a JOKE about Genghis Khan and the MONGOLS. Then poster 'B' gets their FEELINGS HURT, takes exception and goes on a continuing rant over the p.c. terminology.

Give it a rest.

I grew up using the term and until this thread had no idea of it's 'history'. So here's one person who's used the term and didn't know what it meant.

Other than the context in which it was used. ie referring to someone with the condition.
