The initial numbers are estimates from the studios. I'll wait for the real numbers, Monday afternoon

The spinning is going to start this weekend. The libbies are going to wet themselves with glee over this.

Yes, and are they counting "seats filled" as ticket sales? I ask that because I'm betting that easily a quarter of those attending were comped by the studio and MM.

I have no doubt the film will be number one this week. Every stinking liberal in America is flocking to see it.
Next week, after his base got its dose of poli-porn, it will be lucky to be in the top five.

I can assure you those numbers are usually accurate.
So I would say that F 9-11 will have in the neighborhood of a $24 Million opening.
With all the controversy and publicity this film has had it should be expected to have a big opening.
Good news is that this should represent the Kook and curiosity factor. I fully expect that this film, with the opening of Spiderman II on Wednesday, to have a dramatic drop by next weekend along the lines of maybe 60%.
Moore was going to make money on this thing and my guess it that he will sell quite a few DVD's in September.

About half of the people seeing this movie will not vote, the other already in Kerry's (anyone but Bush) camp already. Since Dean is gone, all they have is Moore now. Moore is smarter than Dean, he laughing all the way to the bank.
