I can't believe how anyone would be willingly taken alive.
Is the guy really a US Marine or a Pakistani?

Here ya go - I'm going out of town - you'll have to run with it - problem: the referenced site is bad - "digitalangel" ".net or .com" brings up the same site - it may be in there but I did not see it. Good Luck - read the article. Glenn Beck has talked about this a bit.

Wondering how a Marine could be captured without several broken, bleeding bodies laying around the scene of the abduction.

Tracking chips as are used in expensive pets and horses and even in a club in Ibiza, Spain require that the device to sense them be in relatively close proximity- a few feet versus a few miles as possibly you're thinking. I've been watching this technology for a while- the limiting technology seems to be battery size.

I pray for this man.
After what has gone on over there recently. Any soldier that allows himself to be taken is suicidal. I would fight to the last bullet, last knife, or last rock. I'd make the basturds kill me before being taken....23

Is the guy really a US Marine or a Pakistani? He could be both. Foreigners who are legal residents of the U.S. can join the armed forces.

I'm not sure how well "CHURCHED" you are but you need to read Chapter 13 of Revellation in the KJV. The sentiment is worthy but the application of this technology carries with it consequences you need to consider thoughtfully!

"Will they treat the Marine in accordance with the Geneva convention? I suspect not."
That is why it was laughable when Biden did his little spill in front of Ashcroft saying that we HAD to obey the Geneva convention when dealing with the terrorist at Abu.....SO THEY WOULDN'T TREAT HIS SON (whose supposed to be in the service) WITH SUCH DISPICABLE ACTIONS AS OUR SOLDIERS DID AT ABU IF HE WERE CAPTURED.
Think about that. Biden is a total fool saying that. He knows good and well that these barbaric terrorist are not going to treat our soldiers, or anyone else whose captured, by any sort of guidelines. He is a complete fool and blowhard idiot.
Prayers to that Marine's family. Please Lord, help him.

Sadly, there is only one correct reply to these acts of terror. Ignore them, and if possible, make a joke out of it.
The terrorist only perform these acts in an effort to obtain publicity from the world's media.
Ridicule and laughter has always been the best methods of destroying this method of warfare.
Laugh at how weak and frustrated these "men" are today!
These are not tactics of strong "men", but of feeble and weak children.
American women have much more power and know exactly how to control little boys.
Sorry Moose Limbs, this it is not working...

The marines will do what they are told to do and much to often recently they are being told to turn the other cheek. We did it in Fallujah and we did it in Najaf. These abductions and beheadings are the direct result of being weak in our actions in Iraq over the last couple of months. They now feel that they can do whatever they want and they will pay no price, as in Fallujah. I like Bush and I will vote for him in November but he has got to turn the soldiers loose and knock off this PC crap.

I have a plan to capture the guys that are beheading all those hostages. Don't know why the Pentagon hasn't done so already. Implant a tracking chip underneat the skin of all troops, contractors, etc.,Some parents do this to their young children... Do you think the Pentagon has even thought of doing this like Yesterday???There's a small problem with your idea.
The chip doesn't work as advertised by the more panic-stricken members of FR. Basically, you have to have the equipment for getting a signal from the chip very close to the target--as in "tens of feet."

I'm wondering why they didn't have him speak and say his own name. Apparently the video clip is very brief, he's blindfolded and doesn't speak.
I'm still clinging to the hope that this isn't really a Marine. Maybe they snatched an ID card somehow and dressed someone up in camoflauge to "play the part". I noticed that, unlike the other Pakistani hostage taken today, those holding the "Marine" didn't give a deadline.
Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but ...

It's hard for me to believe that they infiltrated a Marine outpost and took a US Marine alive without suffering any casualties. I don't believe it.

I'd make the basturds kill me before being taken I agree. I'd rather die fighting then be taken hostage. I hope every other soldier in Iraq realizes this now.
