FBI urges vigilance for July 4

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A constant stream of intelligence indicating that al Qaeda wants to strike the United States this summer or fall has led federal officials to urge increased vigilance during the Independence Day weekend, but there is no specific threat of an attack timed to the holiday.

That makes sense to me. I really don't think they need more evidence to convict Saddam. They have plenty. Iran doesn't need a stage at this point.

This sounds more like it Quix:

Important breakthrough in the containment/clean up of locations/victims suffering exposure to biochemical/biolological terrorism/weapons use: "Decon Foam 100"

A neutralizing foam for a wide array of biochemical weapons may make it much easier, faster, and safer to deal with biochemical war and terrorism in the future. Remarkably, the decon foam is made from materials similar to those found in common household products like hair conditioners (surfactants) and toothpaste (mild oxidizing substance), working to destroy dangerous chemicals like detergent does stains in laundry. Somehow the mixture also kills dormant but usually tough bacterial spores.

The foam is non-toxic, non-corrisive, generally applicable to a wide variety of threats, and cheap to produce ( estimated at "about 15 cents a pound") unlike many present-day remedies for biochem attacks.

The foam will bulk up to a hundred times its fluid volume if deployed through the appropriate dispenser, filling in virtually every cubbyhole available in a given room or other space, automatically eradicating toxins as it goes (including airborne). Within a few hours it breaks down into compact liquid form again, and may be safe to simply wash down the drain like normal cleaning agents.

My only dissapointment is that L. Paul Bremmer denied the interim government the authority to sentence anyone to death.

I'm on http://www.cpa-iraq.org/ now. I don't see that reference about Bremer denying the death sentence. Where did you see that? I missed it.

I'll dig, it's in my history I'm sure. I didn't come across it until yesterday, IIRC.

YES. I THINK THIS IS IT.

Now, how to find out the components and how to mix and foam them in the home.

Perhaps no easy or . . . safe task?

I don't know.

Snippet from BBC, followed by link: (Hilight mine)

DAVID FROST: Thank you very much for being with us this morning Mr Chalabi. One last simple question, will Saddam face the death penalty?

SALEM CHALABI: The answer is unfortunately not so simple. The, the statute of the tribunal says that for anybody convicted of the penalty of murder, sorry of the crime of murder or rape, they get what Iraqi law prescribes. Ambassador Bremmer has suspended the death penalty.

This suspension will continue until the sovereign Iraqi government makes a decision to lift the suspension.
