Shotguns are the only modern firearms allowed for deer hunting in much of Maryland.

I find the trebuchet more sporting.

I would use my 10-pound Parrott rifle, but it tends to reduce the amount of edible meat left...

Picking nits: A trebuchet is not a firearm.
