Rubin's the genius who peddled the notion that you confiscate the wealth of the investor class so that deficits decrease, leading to lower interest rates (no historical evidence of this relationship exists) making it easier for the investor class to borrow their money back to invest (apparently, you need to be some sort of Ivy League "genius" to grasp the "logic").
None of this happened in the '90's, but, true to form, the Clintonistas took credit for it anyhow ...

Why aren't we surprised at this?
Is this called "nuance"?

Kerry has got to be joking! What an ass!
He wants people to vote for him, but he won't tell them anything about what he's going to do. That's liberal arrogance taken to its logical end.
The Republicians have GOT to use this against Kerry.

They're afraid if they actually come up with something good that Bush will implement it.

I think we're onto something here. Kerry plans to raise taxes on the middle class. Why are we not surprised? Because Hill has already informed us the Bush tax breaks are going bye bye and she's going to take away some other things 'for the common good'. Uh, but not 'her' things, of course, just yours and mine.

Kerry has a secret plan to end the war on the middle class, with Americanization of jobs... where have we heard similar rhetoric?
Oh, yeah, Richard Nixon, with his secret plan and Vietnamization.

if Kerry wins, my advice to everyone here (what I will be doing myself) - pre-buy any large items before he is sworn in. if you think you might be needing a car, or a major appliance, or a major home improvement, over the next 4 years - but them between election day and the inaugral. after he is sworn in, don't particiapte in the economy - just buy essential items and nothing else. Kerry won't get any GDP growth out of me if he wins.
To: kattracks
In other words, we should vote for him to find out what's behind Door Number Two? John Kerry, the Monty Hall of politics! Betcha there's a jack-ass behind that door...

In the Aug. 2 cover story of "Business Week," former Clinton administration treasury secretary Robert Rubin said, "I don't think you can make proposals to try to dig out of this hole until you've gotten elected ... If you start to put out proposals now, they would be vigorously attacked and they would in effect become tainted so they couldn't be used." In other words, Bush is doing great, and Kerry has no plan... LOL!
