Maybe it's because Tim is the only media person who does a full hour sit down interview with Rush every Thanksgiving. It usually only gets aired on PMSNBC but numerous times over the 4 day holiday.

I believe there is a way to curtail at least some of that but we really don't have the stomach for it. We would really have to get tough with the extended families of the terrorists. That would kill of some of the terrorism.

in a volunteer military, where is Kerry going to get 40K more troops? if he wins, re-enlistments and signups will fall off in big numbers, he won't even be able to maintain current force levels.

They(the Israelis) have the idea, many of the insurgents(newspeak for terrorists) are just kids with too much firepower. Their parents are letting them do OBL's dirty work cause there are no repercussions for the extended family. Introduce some fear into the lives of the adults and you might see some undisciplined kids with a little more discipline. It might work. We have 15 year old kids shooting AK's and blowing up stuff. Discipline their parents, introduce a major cost to the extended family and you might see less terrorism.
