Because Russert gives Rush an hour of face time on his MSNBC show every year - around Thanksgiving, I believe.

Russert almost annually gives Rush an hour on MSNBC profiles, which likely mutes Rush's criticisms of Russert. Also Russert is the best of a bad lot.

Maybe it's because Tim is the only media person who does a full hour sit down interview with Rush every Thanksgiving. It usually only gets aired on PMSNBC but numerous times over the 4 day holiday.

Because Russert sucks up to Rush and Rush is as susceptible to that as all the rest of us.
