About those controversial 7 minutes, he said he collected his thoughts for a few minutes, wanting to finish the classroom program they were involved in (without upsetting the kids) and then did what needed to be done.I think those 7 minutes of composure that our President showed at that time, (not upsetting the children) speaks to his strength, character, intellect, and heart.
I'm sure Kerry, if put in that situation, would have knocked the kids over on his way to a safe place.

I'm sure Kerry, if put in that situation, would have knocked the kids over on his way to a safe place.If Kerry were in that situation, the kid wouldn't have minded him rushing out at all. They would have been sound asleep, bored to death by his droning reading.
