Listen, I need everyone's prayers for my friend. Her husband had a grand mal seizure while evacuating this am (1st time ever) and he fell in the bathroom and broke and dislocated her shoulder. She has several quite little ones. You can imagine her state of mind.
She just called me from the hospital and asked me if she couldn't please stay with me, because now it's physically too hard for her to evacuate. Of course she's welcome, but I know she would appreciate a mention before the Lord. She is so worried about her husband.
They were going to shutdown electricity to Tampa this morning. Perhaps other Freepers down that way can tell you if they shut off electricity to other parts.
You could call the Hernando County Sheriff's office, or maybe the county Emergency Management number, and ask if that park was evacuated. I'm sure they're busy, but hey, it's family.

Florida Progress has asked to conserve energy as they are shutting down a sub station or two.
We live near a bridge to the beaches, and they're shutting all the briges TO the beaches down at 11 AM, plus they're going to shut down the power in some of the beach communities at that time.

Just checked the NWS projection for Charlie, and looks like we may be repeating our experience with Isabel last year if it heads into NC.
