Where do we find out information about the others that received purple hearts?

I don't have any current info for you. My Dad was wounded three times during WWII. After his last battlefield wound, he was transfered out of the frontline infantry and into the topographical unit where they made detailed maps for the
troops advancement. My Dad was a real good photographer and sketch artist. Try going to Google and searching their directory using key words.

Diamond Don, I don't quite understand your question. Do you want to know the total number of PH recipients because as you know a person's personal military service record is private unless that person releases it. The website you went to, that info is submitted by those who received a PH or is submitted by someone in their family for instance if the PH recipient was KIA.
