A little history for you:

In 1968, Viet Nam was being run by the party in power, the Democrats, and at that time, "Democrat" believe it or not, was not synonomous with "the left" and "liberalism." So, the left and liberals of the day rioted against the Democrats, and Richard Nixon won. I expect a Kerry win this time around.

I disagree. The battle in 1968 was between Humphrey and McGovern. Nixon won in part because the primary divided the Democrats so thoroughly. There's no parallel here. There was no "McGovern" challenge to Bush.

I believe in free speech, but the cops can't protect every lone Republican at once--they can only arrest people after they break the law.
