Both Barnes and Noble and Amazon will ship their books in "1 to 4 weeks."
I wouldn't rejoice until I found out how many the Kerry campaign and DNC have bought up across the country and burned, similar to the campaign to destroy all copies of Kerry's "The New Soldier."
Same with Books-a-Million,here. Though they have a waiting list.
Ordered from Amazon the day after they deleted the McCain quote and put up the review on the actual book content. (About 1 1/2 weeks ago) Just got my notice of book being shipped and should be here on the 23rd. Holding my breath. Didn't check the review section now, but understand from an FR thread they may have remove the review. Got to check this.
For 2 weeks Barnes and Noble has been telling me that they have yet to receive the book. This is in Sugar Land Texas. When I went yesterday to inquire on my order I was asked by the cashier if the book was a school book. Go figure that one!! They also said that there has been no shipments made to any of the Barnes and Nobles and the lady then threw this in for free--"By the way the publishing company always prints these right wing books". When I told her that people are getting it and reading it she said she had no explanation.
I ordered one from amazon yesterday, and according to them, they put it in the mail today.
Just checked Amazon and the book review is posted.
If everyone bought the book in one week, the book would climb to the top of the Best Sellers' chart meaning newsprint and a "must stock" for a number of stores. Can't have that now.
DNC bought them all to keep them off the shelves! MoveOn
Slim, what happened at B&N? Are you going to write a letter of complaint?
No -- because they seriously over-print them. I beleive the way the best-sellers list is determined is by inventory sent to bookstores, not by actual sales. I.e., if I print/ship 10 copies and sell them all, I'll still be credited with half the sales of another book that ships 20 copies and only sells 1. So they print far more copies than they can sell, just so that they can claim to be a best-seller.
Why do you think so many of these "best-sellers" are in the remainders bin within a month or two?
The 60's re-tread behind the counter first said they didn't list a book by O'Neill, then when I told her the title she sniffed "Oh, that one."
Maybe we should all contact the publisher and find out what the heck is going on. If we ALL do it, we might see some action. We should let them know that people are being told they have sold out over and over again. A poster above said he/she was told that NO Barnes & Noble stores have ordered the book. I wonder if that is true. Barnes & Noble is definitely in the Kerry camp so it would not surprise me.
I just contacted Regnery from their web site and let them know what is happening at Barnes & Noble. I have had many problems like this with them and have stopped buying books there altogether. I let them know why, too. If everybody would do that, perhaps they would respond.
You can get the book for a dollar at Conservative Book Club (along with any two others...)if you join.

My only complaint is they don't carry Hugh Hewitt's book.
I went on line last night and bought a copy to be shipped to my son in Iraq. Just got a confirmation from Amazon that my book had been shipped and they gave me a complimentary upgrade on my shipping method...from standard to priority shipping. Do you think it was because my son is in the military?

Also for sale. I'm gonna buy from one of the two....then call B&N and so SWEETLY ask for the book. Stupid STUPID people!!!
I used to go to bookstores all the time looking for pro-Bush books. They were NEVER on display. Once in awhile I could find a copy in the backs of the stores under "politics" or something like that. But all the anti-Bush books are on full display.
Do what I do in stores that are extremely biased - rearrange their display. Find the pro-Bush and conservative books and then use them to cover the pro-liberal books. Then move some of the pro-liberal books to the back of the store.
My Hastings also had them right as you walked in-
I thought Hastings stores were mostly in the west, but I see they are other places, too- Arkansas, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee-so, check them out. At. $16.77, it's cheaper than Amazon.
Here's a link to their store locations:

God bless and protect your son, and thanks to him (and you) for his service to our country.
