He was escorted from a high school on Tuesday after shouting comments about the Iraq war and the failure to find weapons of mass destruction. The crowd drowned out Mr Hiller by chanting: “Four more years.”

“They see my actions as negative,” Mr Hiller said, adding that he would do the same thing again.

He cannot understand how this made his employer's client feel. He doesn't even see anything at all wrong with what he did or the way he acted, when he was there as a guest of a client. What is he, a psychopath?

"I am a Republican Union member who has voted Republican since Nixon and now realize's what/why the rest of America hates about your kind. But I will still vote for GWB because JFnK is a lying Communist!"

Sorry, buddy, but you are wrong. This firing was 100% justified. If he had been at the event on his own, he could heckle to his heart's content, and no one could have said anything. But he went with the company on a client invite ... he was obliged to conduct himself accordingly, which means that he cannot embarrass the client.

You post an article about a business, follow it with your opinion (which happens to be a stance against a business), and find that your opinion is unpopular. Therefore, you fall back on a gross generalization to vilify those with whom you disagree -- specifically "your kind". Then you claim some form of moral superiority. That MO seems familiar to me... and yet you claim to not be a leftist?

I a gree with CitizenK on this matter.

This is a question of ethic.
This heckler should have not use the goodwill of the client of his company he work for.

If he want to protest the rally then she should have stand outside holding a sign.

They may hate "our kind", but not enough to turn their noses up at good paying jobs we offer.

It looks like the guy took advantage of a client's kind deed, and used that good deed to embarrass the client. The employee had to know what he did would cause embarrassment to the client. Forget the specifics of what happened for a moment. Don't you think that if an employee takes advantage of a client's good will in a way that is certain to cause embarrassment to the client, the employer is justified in firing the employee?

Perfectly stated.

If you accept a gratuity from a company, your conduct should NEVER bring disgrace or embarassment to your respective company, especially if you are a guest.

Furthermore, if you invite a guest; and they behave in a similar fashion as this individual; you (the guest's sponsor) should expect to be disciplined the same.

I can hear the Democraps now, "the Bush Campaign is personally responsible for this poor man having lost his job!", when, in fact, it is the idiot's own dumb choices that caused him to be fired. Typical, "tell only part of the story", politics on the behalf of Democrats!

I'm with whoever it was that said, "I hope this guy isn't smart enough to breed". Lord knows, he certainly has nothing to contribute to the gene pool!

I despise Kerry and all that he stands for.........but as a member of a worldwide marketing team for a Fortune 5 computer corporation, if a client invited me to some sort of pro-Kerry function, I'd bite my tongue and go with it quietly.

That's business.

Otherwise..........the gloves are off.
