SANTEE, Calif. -- Speeding is blamed for a car crash that killed an 18-year-old woman Monday, 10News reported.
The California Highway Patrol said Jessica Turner lost control of her red Ford Thunderbird just before 9:30 a.m. on state Route 67 at Woodside Avenue in Santee.
The car rolled and Turner was ejected. No one else was in the car.
Investigators said Turner was driving between 85 and 90 miles per hour.
She was on her way home from school.
"Our information is she was sent home for inappropriate dress and was on her way home," CHP officer Brain Pennings said.
Turner attended Chaparral High School.
Was she driving to Mexico?
Not wearing your seatbelt during a crash while going 90 mph kills.
Hmmm .. couldn't have been the 85-90 MPH she was traveling that was at fault now could it .... naw, I'm sure the dress code will get the blame.
Her daddy should've taken the T-bird away.
Hm. I got sent home for attempting to have a moustache, and I dind't get killed...
My guess is that she was probably trying to drive home, change, and drive back so she could miss as little of the school day as possible. Which does not make the dress code the cause of her death; my guess is that it was likely publicized, but that she chose to ignore it.
"Need a ride, fella???"

maybe she was driving while changing AND talking on her
cell phone...
So how long do you think it will be before the parents, guardians, boyfriend, etc. sue the school board and school system?
Bad drivers kill.
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
> The car rolled ...
Have they found the cellphone?
> ... and Turner was ejected.
This must be modern newsie PC for "no seatbelt".
Why would you think she was driving to Mexico?
Bad Attitudes kill.
New telephone pole with a new clean white cross and wreath nailed to it about every month.
Drive by it twice a day.
Wonder who's putting up that wreath and cross?
Most schools have a collection of tops and Tees and jeans that students can change into..or her friends didn't have something in their lockers she could borrow..Something's wrong here, because students would use this a dodge to get sent home everytime..the school would never have a policy like this...
No...she took her eyes off the road to look down around the short skirt and was mulling over whether she needed to do a little gardening when she got home.
Was she wearing lead-soled shoes?
