SWIFT BOAT PROXIMITY PHOTOS (standard patrols)
SBVforT ^ | 8/23/2204 | A Navy Vet

Posted on 08/23/2004 6:25:06 PM PDT by A Navy Vet

I am sick of hearing about the mainstream media's attempt to discredit the SBVforT on the erroneous grounds that the Swifties didn't "serve" with Kerry. Here are photos and commentary from a Swifty as to the proximity of the boats on patrol, as well as, their intimate living conditions. As anyone can see, the perspective from some personnel on other boats actually has a broader view of another boat and the surrounding environment.

I've sent him a few. He is ignoring me. If I could sit down with him, I'd sell him on it.

Nope.

The media is going to ignore them, dispute them, refute them, and yell over them, all the while repeating the dnc's 20-second sound-bites as fact.

89 - "Never served in the brown-water navy, but knowing the Navy as I do, I'm sure that the SWIFT boat skippers kept logs.
However, I would certainly hate to bet the farm on anybody having a copy of them now."

Really good point. We always kept bound log books in the Air Force, listing every incident, major and minor. There should be ships logs for each boat.

They were always very important, and first thing to do when coming on shif for us was to read the log.

I wonder what happened to all those log books. They should be stored somewher.

The Air Force unit histories are kept at Maxwell AFB, Alabama.

No one has brought up 'log books', to verify the stories. They should have all been hand written, page numbered, signed, and secured, and most likely classified.

Where are the Swifties log books? Or mine for that matter?

However, I can understand an infantry squad or even a platoon not being able to "see" each other in the bush. But look at these photos! This is how the Swift Boat brown water Navy patrolled - in groups, unless they were PBR's, which was not the case here.

Yup, but I do seriously want to kick any caviling 'rat's teeth out who suggests I didn't serve with someone just because I couldn't see him at all times!

God, these people are dumb! All of them. Those 'rats who know the truth are dumb for allowing the other dummies to open their dumb mouths! So yes, all of them are dumb, imo.

What's most irritating to me about the bastards is that most of them know NOTHING about military life BECAUSE, when it was their turn to serve, they dodged the draft or otherwise shirked their duty. And now the country is supposed to believe these faggy little leftist scum are suddenly big military experts who know exactly what it means to serve with someone? That's what they are pretending to be, experts. Though the "point" these "experts" are trying to make is plain silly. And all of us who have ever worn the uniform know it.

I'm pretty sure Kerry and the Dimwits have lost the veteran vote big time over this slimy crap.

Question: To your knowledge, is it true that PBR's guarded the Cambodian border areas?

Don't know. The book I'm reading just talks about the one incident going up river with the army, and training PBR crews beginning in April 1969. Nothing about their specific mission, except guarding waterways around Saigon.

In regards to the Ghengis Khan testimony picture going around...
I know that sKerry testified to the Senate Committee of Foreign Relations on April 23, 1971.
And sKerry also threw away his ribbons, and not his medals, on April 23, 1971.
If he threw away his ribbons then how can he be wearing them in that picture? Did he throw them away after he testified?
'Cause if he threw them away before he testified then he's got a big problem on his hands.

The timeline at Mother Jones has it like so...
April 23, 1971:
Kerry helps to organize a huge anti-war protest outside Congress, earning a place on president Richard Nixon's "enemies' list." He joins a group of Vietnam veterans who throw medals and campaign ribbons over a fence in front of the Capitol.

April 23, 1971:
Kerry testifies before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He tells lawmakers: "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?"

Thus giving the impression that the ribbon toss was before the testimony.

I'm not sure of the timeline on that, but I was wondering the other night about the possibility that Kerry may have tossed certain of his medals but kept others.

sKerry didn't toss ribbons, or medals; he tossed some 'props' in true theatric fashion. He's a liar, atraitor, and a coward.

He said he threw his own ribbons over the fence.
He's a liar, atraitor, and a coward.
Saying it isn't proving it. I'm attempting to prove it.

Who knows.
He says he threw some other men's medals, because he had left his own medals at home, and his own ribbons away.
I'd just like to narrow down the timeline to a before or after the speech toss.

To: philman_36; Interesting Times

That information may be in Nicosia or Brinkley's book. Unfortunately I had to take both of them back to the library. Maybe someone else has a copy?--Interesting Times?
