I don't doubt such a spot exists. My question is whether it actually ran on Nickelodeon during a children's program (I'm looking for a second witness) AND whether the spot was inserted BY Nickelodeon and not a stupid cable company.
If the cable company inserting the PSA is at fault, wouldn't it be fair and proper to direct ire at them?
If I'm going to start ranting about Nickelodeon to friends, colleagues, and family -- I want to have my facts straight.
fair enough
Linda Ellerbee said on her program once, "You have a right to think what you want to think, even when your wrong". That didn't sit well with me for some reason. I thought it was a snotty way to word it.
That sounds alot like what one of the NY protesters said yesterday.."you should only have freedom of speech when you tell the truth" ... if that were the case then the left would have shut up long ago.
Anyhoo, I can't remember what she was talking about exactly, but I do remember she took the liberal position. I thought it was rather condescending and arrogant to assume she was correct and we were wrong.....but we had a right to be wrong. Thank you so very much goddess Ellerbee , for granting my children permission to be WRONG. A more appropriate response would have been, you have a right to disagree, and left it at that.
Liberals are soooo intellectually superior. Especially since conservatives can't remember to spell "you're" correctly. HA!!!
Staying on topic, there is a T.V. show on Disney called "Lizzie McGuire". One of the teachers, I'm thinking he was a drama teacher, was an obnoxious gay man. It was terribly obvious, offensive and distasteful. I told my children NO MORE Disney Channel.
I've always hated the way the left treated everyone who disagree with them as either ignorant children or hillbillies.
There are certain things on Disney I let my little one watch.. like Roly Poly Oly.. the mom always wears a dress and is a SAHM..
anyways, can you find out from your friend if he is certain that the PSA came from Nick and not his local cable company?
and if not, can you find out the name and location of his cable (or sattelite) provider, so somebody can check with them to see if they are the ones that ran the PSA during Nick in the mid afternoon?
Never thought it would come to this, but I guess I'll have to put a channel lock on Nick.......and I'm sure their parents will too after I show them this. Is nothing innocent anymore where children are concerned?????
