I'm sensing there was an incredible temptation at BBC to switch out the word "terrorists", which appears quite often in these direct quotes of the actual people who were there..
WELL! I have another "take" on that!
I think they might have been talking in Russian, and the word they used would be more accurately translated as:
MURDERERS!
