You're right, I should have better described what I meant by "standards" - the standards by which one seeks to prosecute for defamation or the standards by which one is defended against claims of defamation!!!! Whew, that wacky lawyer legal lingo, again......thanks for making it clear!!
It is good that charges are so over the top. Unless Kelly has real hard evidence, nobody as a result will give it much credibility, except a few bitter hard core Bush haters.

I was down at High and Best St in Greensboro NC on July 18, 1993 buying some Crack cocaine. I saw a guy and asked him for a 8-ball. I thought I recognized the guy and later, I found out it was George W Bush. He named a price and a got him down to $15. I gave him a twenty and danged if the SOB didn't run off with my bill and my rock. So Dubya owes me $20 and a rock. You just can't trust politicians.

You're kidding. Kerry and his Kamp have demonstrated there's no lie they're not willing to tell. They'll embrace this. Oh, they may be subtle, but they certainly won't "denounce" it as they demanded the Bush campaign denounce the TRUTH that was being told about Kerry.
And the Swifties aren't done. More news tomorrow.
Will they show the same restraint now and fall back on double-sources and evidence, or will this be too good to not run and then just do yet another mea culpa later?

It is one of the forms of high dollar cocaine that Hollywood elites love to indulge in. Source country is Peru. Process used there tints the drug with a light pink, iridescent shade. I use this term for dramatic effect only.
Back in June, the National Enquirer published a picture of Jack Nicholson exiting the bathroom at a recent awards ceremony. The picture was Jack smiling (in a Batman style Penguin stance), head tilted up to the left, and slightly to the rear. Prominently deposited around his nostril (which the lens was centered on), was a light pink powder ring, with much the same appearance as the salted-rim of a Margarita glass. The caption read about it snowing inside that bathroom.
I have no personal experience with this contraband. I only repeat here, what I have been told, and what I have read.
