Author Kitty Kelley says in her biography The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty, that the US President first used coke at university in the mid-1960s. She quotes his former sister-in-law Sharon Bush who claims: "Bush did coke at Camp David when his father was President, and not just once either." Other acquaintances allege that as a 26-year-old National Guard, Bush "liked to sneak out back for a joint or into the bathroom for a line of cocaine". Bush has admitted being an alcoholic but, asked during the 1999 election if he did drugs, he said: "I've told the American people that years ago I made some mistakes. "I've learned from my mistakes and should I be fortunate enough to become president I will bring dignity and honour to the office." Later an aide clarified his remarks saying Bush hadn't taken illegal drugs in the past 25 years. Kelley says that the Bush family covered up scandals because of their wealth and influence. She claims George W started drinking at school and continued at Yale university to overcome shyness. Former student Torbery George says in the book: "Poor Georgie. He couldn't relate to women unless he was loaded." Another says: "He went out of his way to act crude. It's amazing someone you held in such low esteem later became president." His supporters have slammed the allegations as outrageous. What evidence (a 'Rats Rat word) does she have of this? It should be in the form of a dated video with sound or a written signed statement. I have never heard or seen either. Every person who stops drinking because they see it leading them in negative ways is not an alcoholic. Even if he is but no longer drinks, so what?

This sort of thing might have worked 4 years ago, before he'd proven himself in office. This is probably complete fabrication, but say it were true, who cares?
You can't slide by in the Presidency as Kerry has slid by as a Senator, without dire consequences (i.e. 9/11, a direct consequence of Clinton's failure). Bush has proven himself, Kerry hasn't.

It's another tactic that the left uses ad nauseum. Hook you on something they say is ok but that they think your supporters will condemn. It's like saying "Oh, you say your so moral but you've done the same things I have. Thou hypocrite." Hypocrisy is the only moral failing they care about. The answer, of course, is that I never claimed to be perfect, just forgiven.
Dream on. Despite putting away the national guard allegations four years ago, the Bush camp has had to deal with that twice already in this campaign. Liberals have 527 organizations 50 times bigger than conservatives have, and their hypocrisy is not in play on that.
This is how they change the subject. Every question asked of a Bush administration official for the next month will be about alleged drug use. It doesn't have to be fair or accurate. It only has to stick in the American psyche.
None of the Clinton staffers were ever forced to take the drug tests. Dee Dee stepped down...at least rumors suggest...because of some type of disagreement with other substantial members of the Clinton staff. If Kitty does want to talk cocaine usage at the White House...she better lay in 100 pages for Clinton members...because there was a great deal of use going around in the early 90s.
So we'll know what the hell the trolls are yammering about next week.
