"I dread the next 60 days with all the mud these scumbags are going to throw at Dubya...we haven't seen nothing yet.."

NOT ME! :-)

Mark my words... We will witness the Democrats regroup and distance themselves from the far left after this election. The Joe Lieberman's and John Breaux's of the Democrat Party will come forth to lead their Party after this election and it will be good thing for the Country.

The far left have simply become unhinged and they have been resorting to spewing obvious lies and distortions and any rational thinking American can see right through them. People like John Kerry and Ted Kennedy will end up being like Pat Buchanan, shuffled out of the mainstream and eventually ignored

I know a lot of people who aren't paying attention to politics, and when we talked today about the kelley book they were very angry.
Ordinary people don't HATE GWB, they know these accusations have been thrown at him before, and it is going to backfire.
It's like when I used to take my little brother to the store with me or some such place. When he throws a tantrum, what do you do? Walk away. Don't give it attention, don't make it into a big deal.
I think normal people know what is at stake in this election, and this book isn't going to make a difference!

I'm with you 100%!
Americans just aren't this gullible!
Irrational anger never won anything.

PS. YOu could have heard a pin drop in that hall when he gave the end of the speech. It was soooo touching! I'd think anyone listening would have been convinced beyond any shadow of a doubt, but you've read my doubts of the night . . .

If you would like my opinion of GWB's Texas ANG service in the 147th and his year in the Alabama Guard I will post it. I have spent a bunch of time investigating these claims and have a bunch of article saved to reference from.

George W. Bush did absolutely nothing wrong while serving in the ANG and this is much to do about NOTHING

I think by the time more comes out on Kerry and his
military record and the early 70s stuff. The Navy is
looking into the Silver star with a v, etc. he will be
toast. I think those who hate the President already will
be the ones to believe the Kelly crap.

I think that it may come down to our cultures sometimes being a little uptight about being seen to be enthusiastic about elected public officials. LOL.
I remember Mr Prescott (wasn't it him?) thumping somebody for throwing a tomato at him. If that happended to PM Howard he would send in his bodyguards to bash 'em.
I think if somebody was to show vehement support around PM Howard (like some of the people at President Bush's rallies) he would have kittens!!

I mean your "opinion" (typing too fast)

Another example of you knowing, me knowing, everyone here knowing . . . but the left twisting . . . hopefully not enough to cause people to change their vote, but enough to cast doubt.

Nothing new with the NG story...they just put a little lipstick on it and shoved it out the door again...this seems to be all they have.

Bush really seems to enjoy being out on the campaign trail and meeting the folks. You can tell right away that he's a man who's comfortable in his own skin. Lurch just looks either pained or medicated, and he can't decide whose skin to be in from one minute to the next.

Are you at all worried about the Kitty Kelly book coming out, or any potential "october surprises" they might try?

Nope .. Kitty Kelly is a whack job and this book is proof

The far left will lap up every word .. but the moderate dems and the independents won't

OK, Here it goes:

George W. Bush spent his first 4 1/2 years in the Texas Air National Guard learning to fly, and flying one of the most dangerous Fighter Jets ever flown. The F-102 Delta Dart was a heavy underpowered Jet Fighter that had a high casualty rate and hard to fly. George W. Bush scored above average in his flying ability and average on his written exams.

George W. Bush had over 375 Hours of flight time in a F-102 and in 1972 he asked if he could be transfered to the Alabama Guard so he could work on campaigning for a family friend. The request was granted because the F-102 was being phased out of service and there was not going to be any need for his skills in just a few months.

The Alabama National Guard did not have any F-102's for George W. Bush to fly so he did not have to maintain his readiness status, so he didn't bother to take the physical and only showed up when he had to. (MANY OTHERS DID THE SAME. IT WAS COMMON PLACE)

The AP makes it sound like The Alabama Guard had 2 F-102's on strip alert in Alabama, but notice that they say "THE 147th" Well the 147th was part of the Texas Air National Guard and nothing to do with the Alabama Guard.

In short... There was nothing for George W. Bush to fly in Alabama and his time was so short that they didn't want to train him for another Jet Fighter if he wasn't going to reenlist, so they had him sign in and read magazines and do landscaping instead of drills. When he requested an early departure so he could go back to College, the Military granted his request and gave him an Honorable Discharge and that is the end of the story.

NOWHERE is their a single document that suggests George W. Bush was ever AWOL or delinquent. The left and their enablers in the Main Stream Media are simply desperate
