Here's the exact quote: "I would have given the inspectors the time they needed before rushing to war. I would have built a genuine coalition of allies and made sure that every soldier that was put in harm's way actually had the equipment and the body armor that they needed."

Precious. And I know you know this, but contrast it with this:

Doyle McManus (LA Times): "If that amendment does not pass, will you then vote against the $87 billion?"

Kerry: "I don't think any United States senator is going to abandon our troops and recklessly leave Iraq to – to whatever follows as a result of simply cutting and running. That's irresponsible." ("Face the Nation," CBS, 9/14/03)

If John Kerry were around in 1944:

I support the invasion of Normandy.

It is irresponsible for Howard Dean to say that we would not be safer with Hitler removed from power. Anyone who can say that shows that he lacks the judgment and credibility to be president.

There is no peace plan for the Normandy invasion.
What is our "exit strategy"?

I do not support the invasion at Normandy.

I voted for the Normandy invasion, but not for it to happen in June 1944, more nuanced diplomacy is required.

Actually, I voted for the Normandy invasion before I voted against it, and I voted for the funding before I voted against it.

Our “allies” in the Normandy invasion were bribed and coerced. We did not have enough troops for the Normandy invasion - too much of our army is tied up in this obviously secondary operation.

I only voted for the Normandy invasion believing FDR would get more allies.

Look at the blunders this administration has made, and how many thousands of our young men have lost their lives!

The Normandy invasion is distracting from the war with Japan, the nation that directly attacked us at Pearl Harbor. This administration wants us to believe that there is an 'axis' connecting Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany, but these are obviously different wars.

I support the Normandy invasion but I will not vote to supply ammunition, fuel, food, equipment, hardware and other supplies for the soldiers currently engaging the Nazis in Normandy. Actually, I voted for these vital supplies before I voted against them.

This administration thinks the Congress can give a blank check. The costs of this war are overwhelming our domestic priorities such as after-school programs
and pandering to our favorite interest groups.

Salut! I speak fluent French and I am going to vacation in Normandy.
