Rounding up all illegals 'not realistic'
The Washington Times ^ | September 10, 2004 | Jerry Seper

Posted on 09/10/2004 5:00:30 AM PDT by MikeJ75

The nation's border czar yesterday said it is "not realistic" to think that law-enforcement authorities can arrest or deport the millions of illegal aliens now in the United States and does not think the American public has the "will ... to uproot" those aliens.

Are you still backing up the idea that ALL illegals are armed robbers and drug dealers?

No, not all are robbers tigereye, however, all are criminals, and *all* of them have no respect for our borders or our sovereignty, and all of them have created epic social and economic chaos in America. Thousands of them came here and killed our cops, raped women, committed robberies, murders, fraud, and deal drugs, and join organized gangs.

Why are you attempting to deny any of the above?

I don't have time for lame arguments. Good day.

Sorry. I don't provide help for the "mentally challenged"
As I said earlier, I probably know more about the Latino culture than you will ever understand. I am married into it, and grew up near Mexico. And I can assure you that rather than be deported, most will turn to crime. Hell, many of them are doing that already. When a person is born and raised in Texas, such as myself, it gives me just a little more insight into the problem. Kind of hard to get the same perspective in VERMONT!

Oh yes, It will take a hell of a lot more than a Vermont Yankee's misguided ranting to run me off....

You don't have to round them all up. You round up bunches and send them back. Show it on tv...maybe a weekly round up of how many were sent back or something. Screw hearings and appeals. Just send them back and let them appeal from Mexico or El Whereverthehell. You WILL send the right message and you WILL make an impression. To simply throw up your hands and say there's "no will" is irresponsible and an invitation for more to come in.

I second your idea..., I'd also add on top of that , any business or employer found hiring someone who's here illegally will be financially responsible to reimburse the government for all services that illegal and his family use, including emergency rooms, education etc, and that employer will be forced to bear the cost of deportation. Make it so financially onerous for these companies that the incentive for being here illegally dries up. I guarentee that if even some of these measures were put in place the problem will begin to resolve itself.

Agreed. Tho I didn't say it originally, businesses who hire illegals should be heavily sanctioned.
This crap has got to stop.
I certainly have nothing against Mexicans or anyone else but we have to have control of our borders.
Come here legally and everything is loverly.

The politicos from both parties are lying out of both sides of their mouths. They have no desire to enforce or enact any of these obvious solutions. They are mostly all liars. Plain and simple. They are nothing but anti American traitors.

Oh really? What the hell do you know about me, who I am, who I know or where I've been? Nuthin'. Apparently opening your yap without reading is a habit with you.

I think you got it mostly right. But I think you just threaten to hunt them down and send back all you find, using the existing manpower, most would panic and start running for the border. I think we need to give the INS guys something to do here in SoCal, besides stop us commuters trying to get home. FCS

Fine them, jail them, seize their business assets, print their names in the paper, bust them in Rico statutes.

I'd sure never question your knowledge of bull pies or road apples. You seem to wallow in it. Revel in it. Laud it even. But I've met plenty of Texans that wouldn't know a yellow rose from purple sage. You ain't the first.

Why no! Nothing like that could happen to the great "Republic of Texas". We've got the Alamo. Why, our motto is "Don't Mess With Texas". We print it on T-shirts and refridgerator magnets and everything. We are the biggest braggarts and chest beaters in the nation. You don't know what you are talking about. Illegal Mexicans aren't taken over Texas. Texas is conquering Mexico. yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. we will just keep telling ourselves that. That way we won't have our overblown pride hurt. Yeah! Thats it.

What he means is our "betters" don't have the will to do it. The public will pay whatever it takes to get rid of these parasites, and if it came up for a vote, 70% would support deportation.
