it's about her sissy-ass daddy who just stood there without lifting a finger. What, he's going to set his three year old daughter on the ground and start throwing down with some punk in a crowd of dozens of his bile-spitting friends?
That's not how you'd behave, I trust if you were thrust into that real-world drama. "Watching Daddy get beaten and arrested" isn't the way you'd want to cap this little girl and her 11 year old brother's terrible day. Geez, have a little empathy.

What all you Freepers (I learned a new word today!) can do for my family is to show the same kind of support for our president, maybe attend Kerry/Edwards rallies yourself... showing the same kind of respect, perserverence, and steadfast resolve that we have tried to show. Please bring good credit upon yourselves and our president. Freeped the local Dems pretty good today (Freeport, IL) with you guys in mind, using Kerry's treasonous words against him. Got 'em pretty good, they were really going nuts, and wouldn't talk to us at all after our oldest member revealed he's a Vietnam vet. If I say something I don't know anything because I'm in my thrities, but when a real Vietnam vet shows up, they clam up. Fun stuff!

Thanks for coming by We would never do anything to hurt your little sister. Your request is reasonable and you will find we are a sensitive (if sometimes passionate) group. We actually generally are more interested in rights than ideology. I think the average FReeper believes (again passionately) that "I may disagree with what you say but I will die for your right to say so." Conversely, we also believe that we have the right (and duty) to DISAGREE with what is said. This of course is anathema to the Left.

Jeez...I really don't get all this "blame the victim" crap. I don't care how strongly you think the dad used less than perfect judgment, A CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED HERE! THAT'S the priority, and the primary victim is a 3 year old girl, yet! Get your priorities straight!
Throw in the tendency of DUers to get their perv jollies out of coming in here and playing sick psych-war games, and you have to be EXTRA careful to THINK before you post.
Here's a rule of thumb:
