There's nothing to be gained by avoiding family and friends simply because they're liberals. I have a number of liberal friends. Granted, they're nothing like most of the idiot liberals you hear about in the news and on this site, but they're still more liberal than I am.
Instead of getting rid of them, I chose to stand by their right to their opinion, and to present my own opinion to them in a mature and respectful manner. Now, if any of my friends start acting like the idiots that cause problems, i'll get rid of them.....stat.
