You may have seen the thread, but the biggest local radio talk show in Houston runs CBS news at the top of the hour, despite the fact that it runs conservative programming, including Rush Limbaugh.

Dan Rather does the CBS radio news at the 4 pm hour, and the station manager decided not to run the Rather newscast until this is resolved, replacing it with a Fox news segment instead.

Today, at 4, they goofed. The news began and it was Dan Rather starting the report with something about Ivan. It ran for about 6 or 7 seconds, and I was in shock. But the host busts in yelling "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! We FIRED that guy!!!" He made the studio engineer pot it down and told her to get Fox News up instead, which she did.

It was great, because essentially it keeps the story very much alive in Houston, and this station has effectively fired Dan Rather twice in three days. LOL.
