Cleland was the moron who tried to deliver some letter to Bush about something or another. He's definitely losing it. It would figure.

This fellow is right out of the whacky Jim McDermott mold.

So the question is whether Cleland will have to fall on his, ah, "grenade" to protect Kerry?

" Parallels Drawn Between CBS Memos, Texan's Postings"

By Michael Dobbs
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, September 18, 2004; Page A02

"In an Aug. 21 posting, Burkett referred to a conversation with former senator Max Cleland (D-Ga.) about the need to counteract Republican tactics:
"I asked if they wanted to counterattack or ride this to ground and outlast it, not spending any money. He said counterattack."
" So I gave them the information to do it with. "

"Burkett laid out a rationale for using what he termed "down and dirty" tactics against Bush."
" He said that he had passed his ideas to the Democratic National Committee but that the DNC seemed "afraid to do what I suggest."

From these excerpts, Cleland and the DNC were " given the information " by Burkett.
In what form they were given-whether verbal or written, is unclear.
Burkett in his internet postings seemes to indicate, he wanted to play " dirty " and use " dirty tricks."
The DNC seemed "afraid to do what he suggested "-indicating they knew Burkett was peddling forgeries.
If the DNC had no doubt the documents were legitimate, I can't imagine them " being afraid " to use them.
If the Kerry campaign and the DNC knew that CBS was using forgeries and did nothing to expose the fraud-aren't they part of the conspiracy ?
Until proven otherwise, as far as I am concerned, Kerry and McAuliffe are unindicted co conspirators .

Is Cleland Rather's "unimpeachable source"?

since Cleland is no longer a U.S. Senator, he is no longer "Impeachable".
