Gary Killian of Houston, son of the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, a Texas Air National Guard commander over Bush in the early 1970s says CBS owes his family an apology for airing false documents attributed to his father, according to a report in the Kansas City Star.Gary Killian, who once served in the Guard with his father, said he first questioned the validity of parts of the memos -- then later became convinced they were all fakes.
Killian admits he is angry with CBS:
"Do I take it personally? Yes. I think, first of all, CBS and Dan Rather owe my deceased father and my family an apology."
Killian added, "I don't accept that this was an innocent mistake. I think it confirms what a lot of people already think: that there is a hidden agenda among some of the media."
I couldn't agree more with Mr. Killian.
Rather's supposed to be on Larry King tonight. I bet CBS is gonna regret this appearance.

Unless they want a less than adequate apoloby, I fear that they will have a very long wait. We know from experience that in modern day liberalism the responsible are not responsible, the not responsible are responsible, unless anything goes wrong, then how can they be responsible?

I knew Rove and his fellow trolls were diabolical, but I never knew just how good they were until today. I tried catching bits and pieces of several news shows on most of the cable channels and every show talked about how this is going to, or already has, sunk Dan Rather's career and the credibility of CBS news. And you can see everyone's eyes sparkling with joy!! What a great story! "Oh, it's a dark day for journalism, but god I'm having an orgasm."

"Lucy Ramirez" is obviously not a real person. A woman using that name called Burkett, and arranged a meet. But she never showed up at the meet. Instead, a man passed Burkett the papers. I would not be surprised if the RNC were behind this--passing crude forgeries in an effort to discredit the Bush AWOL story.

Lucy Ramirez in 2000 was the woman who gave Repigs Gore's... tape of his debate speech. She worked for the bush campaign. The whole thing was that she was set up by karl rove, but was forced to take the blame and was fired. Much like Dan Rather is taking the blame and he was only the messanger.

And here's the guy, Roger Stone, who is the link Stone and Rove go way, way back to Reagan and Lee Atwater, may be the source of the documents. This is the same guy who organized and paid the Miami Mob during the recount and then went on to join Al Sharpton's campaign. Folks if this is true, we have a direct link to the WH.

I think that there should be a Narnia type book filled with all the explanations of the mythological fantasies of the liberal control freaks. As most conservative books outsell lefty ones (too busy watching Gerry Springer), it should be a big hit (but would have to be disqualified from the NYT Book Review).

No, they've never felt they had to, just claiming it was so enough times "makes it so." Their bias has been transparent to any with their eyes open.
