Is O'reilly coming around?

Posted on 09/23/2004 12:52:11 PM PDT by slowhand520

I think Bill O'reilly might be pulling for Bush. Here's why I think this. On this Fox news link http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,133290,00.html

O'reilly says some kind words about the President. Secondly tonight he is going to reveal how Kerry has Flipp Flopped on the war: http://www.foxnews.com/fnctv/index.html.

So maybe O'reilly will do a good job and disect this fraud

BO played patty-fingers with Serpenthead last night. Both of them really stunk.

Bill O'Reilly is a liberal and a liar. I couldn't care less who he endorses.

When BOR dissed the Swifties, that cut it for me. Those guys were trashed by Kerry, and when they were giving it all to tell their story to the world, BOR stabbed them in order to snuggle up to Kerry trying for a big 'get'.

Not a chance.

OReily was trying to trying to bash Rush with two unknown radio people.

He is simply after rating and trying to protect his status as the reigning Prima Dona at Fox.

Hanity is vastly superior.

People do not watch OReily for Oreily, they watch because somebody is on OReily. (ie President Bush)

Oreilly has an ego is the point. After No WMD he felt duped and took it on Bush. But Bush came on his show, which to Oreilly means, he came in and kissed his ring. Kerry hasn't come in, which Oreilly takes has a insult. If Kerry stays out, you might see more pro-bush coverage sorta

Bill O'Reilly talks about "Who's looking out for you?", but clearly O'Reilly is looking out for himself. His ego is monstrous, and that ego is increasingly overshadowing his merit. I have been a big O'Reilly fan, but increasingly he speaks out of both sides of his mouth, and I believe he does so deliberately, in order to keep people from pinpointing his political side. If his political leanings became apparent (such as Chris Matthews is TRANSPARENT), he would likely lose access to one of the political camps.

I also disagreed with his handling of John O'Neill. But, then I remember that O'Reilly really wants Kerry to appear on his program. So, I find him disingenuous these days. He basically panders to both sides alternately to curry favor.

Apologies to any offended. That's just the way I see O'Reilly lately.

He has an interview with President Bush "in the can," and is promoting it.

He is also angling for an interview with Kerry. Mr. O'Reilly still dismisses the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as "discredited," generally by erecting straw men and accepting print stories about them.

I doubt it.

Kerry will inevitably end up on OReily.

I even believe the Moore/OReily "stink" was a set up since OReily went to the NY premire of F911.

A Ingraham caller today brought up the BO/60 Minutes appearance, and that BO did not disclose it with the Laura/CBS fiasco show.

She said she was aware of the coming 60 Minutes, but did not bring it up.

Also, BO's radio show is syndicated by a Viacom property. Bo admits to that on the radio, but also fails to disclose it on FNC.

O'BLo'den amply demonstrated his character flaws in his dealings with the Swifties. I cannot "overlook" those flaws if I hope and pray for an "upright" media in the wake of the Rathergate experience.

It is in keeping with his normal self-interested position for him to now "get religion" and change and take in the Rubes with the idea that he was only being "fair". He is "changing" because he has lost audience, just like Rather.

I do not think his being dishonest in order to be "fair" or "balanced" is acceptable. Dishonest is as damning here as unfair is in Rather.

I must not model the kind of "overlook" or "look past" behavior it would take to credit his reporting again. My progeny do not need that kind of hypocrisy flaunted in their faces. If I expect credibility of them I must also be credible.

OReily works for Viacom!

Gee I wonder why he did not reveal that when discussing rather?

another Viacom OOOOPS.

Do they publish his book too?

Remember he has his Oreily for kids coming out too. (that is the last book you want to give a child, given his recent conduct)

Let's see....the left hates O'reilly because he doesn't always pander to them.....some conservatives
agree with the conservatives when they try to spin....hey..it must be true that
O'reilly is a no spin zone. Sorry...I think the guy tries to be fair...one minute he makes me wince...another minute
he makes the left wince!

He'll also move right as it becomes more obvious that Kerry won't appear on his program.

O'Reilly is pulling for his own ratings. That's all he cares about and he'll say whatever it takes to increase his paycheck.
