Just reported on Fox News, Fox and Friends, that Burkett is quoted in an article as stating that Joe Lockhart of the Kerry campaign pressured Burkett to release the documents to him!
Are you saying he isn't a nut?
Yes, I think he'll try to "rat them all out", but the tendency will be to not believe him.
That's not true....It had to be Rove...It just had to.....whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
He has already. Have you found Lucy Ramirez yet?
Hillary? Deep Throat II?
>>>> But Burkett is unreliable and anything he says should be taken with a grain of salt.
Agreed, and I can't blame Lockhart for at least wanting to look at the documents, but this story should still be pumped big time. Let people make up their own minds, and forge a connection between Kerry and the fraudulent docs.
Of course, Burkett is a whacko and we can't believe what he says. Let's not pick and choose what we want to believe from this nut job.
<<FOXNews' Mara Liasson and Juan Williams will say It's a he-said-she-said kind of thing and stammer... Why can't we get back to the election?!<<
That is such BS. Joe Lockhart admitted talking with Burkett, and how was in put in touch with him? MARY MAPES.
The same producer of CBS news. Juan and Mara are morons to think they did not speak about the Bush docs.
"bas forgeries"
bad forgeries
it's easy to find Lucy Ramirez...Firstwe get Ashcroft to track down her library card....
First of all do I think that Burkett and Lockhart had a conversation about the documents? Absolutely and anyone who thinks otherwise is dumber then a box of rocks . So Joe Lockhart lied when he stated that there was no conversation between Burkett and himself about these documents and he needs to quit insulting the intelligence of the america public. I stated prior to today that Joe Lockhart would eventually be pressured into resigning and I still think that will happen. Unfortunately for Joe he just got caught. Kerry campaign is in deep trouble. Liberals like Michael Moore are even frustrated that your hearing comments from Moore himself which include the fact that he stated what a lousy campaign Kerry's running. This on top of the fact that Kerry has to make a decision as to whether he should keep Joe Lockhart, continue to deny involvement with Burkett the forged documents or acknowledge the fact that Joe Lockhart did have a conversation with Burkett and that he's no longer involved in the campaign. The campaign advisers for the President Bush feel like there on vacation as this situation will keep Kerry tied up long enough that no message from Kerry will reach his supporters and he will continue to bleed to death in the polls. This continued drip as I call it involving the memogate is just killing Kerry and he knows it. For all practical purposes this election is over for Kerry.
True.......
Yes I am saying he is not a nut, the left painted him that way so if he went public they could say he is nuts and you can't believe him, it is SOP.
And there are pajama clad snipers ready to put a round through that bulls eye on your forehead (figuratively, of course) at the first sign of BS.
I disagree, I think he can and should be believed, painting him as a nut job is SOP.
Not that JW was "wrong," but it is chasing a minor detail in the COmbat V on a Silver Star, etc. The response they got from the archivist was very predictable.
What breaks the story regarding Kerry's Vietnam record will be either the official documents that Kerry has refused to release, or a substantive two-sided public exchange that airs the SBVfT assertions, in detail, against Kerry's rebuttals, again in detail.
On the other hand, what breaks the CBS/Kerry/DNC coordination story does not rely on Kerry or his campaign being forthright. You might be right that the connection won't be established until after the election, but IMO, that is okay becuase GWB doesn't need that advantage in order to win.
And Burkett's an unimpeachable source. Just ask Dan.
OK, but please vote anyway. That means everybody.
Thank you.
(steely)
How could a man who defended a perjuring president lie?!... 8-)
Dan Rather is correct. Unimpeachible!
