"Kerry comforts locked-out workers.
President Bush comforts hurricane victims. "

Yep. Something about this picture bothers me. President Bush is very sincere when his emotions toward his fellow man show. John Kerry is not known for such. Consequently, this picture seems out of character. I heard someone say recently that John Kerry couldn't go out and comfort hurricane victims because it would be forced.

Plus ... his face is starting to look plastic.

No kidding! Over an F'ing job! Give me a break!!

Here, how about over losing a mother on 9/11??

Get your priorities straight, America! Jobs aren't going to mean squat if we're being murdered by terrorists!

I was thinking it was a couple or four weeks before that.

Or maybe I'm confusing it with the police union strike in Boston that sort of got settled before the convention or got put on hold.

"I feel bad for anyone out of a job, but no one guaranteed you a freakin life. You work for one."

I watched SPELLBOUND today, a documentary about kids competing in the National Spelling Bee. Sounds like it would be a dud, but it was not. 8 finalists were its subject, and their families were part of the bio.

One of the boys was from India. His Dad was a big part of helping his son prepare. You could tell he really loved that kid. He said something that jumped out at me:

"I'm grateful to be able to come to this country. It is impossible to fail here, there is so much opportunity for anyone who is willing to work hard."

I immediately thought that his attitude was exactly what we Americans need.

Again I say.....a 60'ish year old man who wears a yellow plastic bracelet that my twelve year old niece and her friends went ga ga over and "just had to have" is not fit to be President.

I felt the same thing watching Spellbound. We need more people like that kid. SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though he lost, and seemed glad not to have to keep at it, he still learned valuable lessons, and obviously his dad still loved him.
