The network of Dan democRATher. What do you expect? Compare with the ABC poll. We learn a few things: CBS has stacked the deck. OR snap polls mean nothing.

The only ones watching CBS are the liberals for their news and the Conservatives watching a meltdown. Parley

Somone changed my headline. I never said this was an online poll. I was just relaying the results CBS was showing (which I think are bogus).

169 uncommitted voters is a poll?

I think they polled their staff, multiplied it by 3 and rounded it off. That's good enough for their standards.

On MSNBC the pundits are declaring a Cheney victory in the most decisive terms that I have ever heard. Fox’s pundits actually said Edwards won the second half of the debate. At The Corner, many of the bloggers are calling it a draw. I am with MSNBC, Big Time. I have never seen a poorer performance in a debate than I saw from Edwards tonight – at least not that I can recall. Maybe someone can remind me of one.

A couple of the quotes that Tom Brokaw, Tim Russert and Chris Matthews are repeating (in awe, actually) are the one about not being able to stand up to al Queda if they can’t stand up to Howard Dean, and the one about meeting Edwards for the first time on that stage tonight. Matthews said Cheney had his ammunition and went hunting for squirrel, and he found a squirrel. Russert said Cheney could take Trump’s place on the Apprentice because tonight he told Edwards, “you’re fired.”

Now the pundits on MSNBC are talking about how Cheney made a clear and decisive case that Edwards is not ready to be a heartbeat away. First Gwen Ifill did a pretty decent job as moderator and now the pundits on MSNBC, of all places, are calling it correctly. Cheney definitely hit a home run.

One thing Matthews has been harping on for months and just can’t seem to understand came up in his analysis tonight. Brian Williams played the clip of Cheney saying he never said there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11, then showed a clip from MTP where Cheney said the action against Iraq was an integral part of the war against terrorists and especially those who attacked us on 9/11. They claimed it was Cheney saying Iraq was connected to 9/11. It was not. Let me explain this to Matthews one more time. Iraq was not about retribution for 9/11/2001. It was about preventing a 9/11/2005 or 2006 or 2007. Is that really so hard to understand?

Speaking of having heads examined, that is one comment Cheney could have touched on. When he was talking about the loss of civility in politics I was praying he would blame the Dems and their viciousness. He could have said Edwards's creepy comments about Bush voters being crazy is one example of how the DEMS are lowering the level of discourse.

Great observation. Like Clymer, I can't wait to see Rather's name equated with false reporting. "That's a Rather!"

Considering that Kerry's astronomically high win against W hasn't helped Kerry in the polls, who cares about how they manipulate this one? No one's buying either Edwards or his massah, the other BS artist.

People who are still uncommitted at this time are going to judge a candidate by his hair-do rather than by what he actually has to say. At any rate, See B.S.'s poll surveyed too small a sample size to be an accurate measure of public opinion.

I tried to vote and they wouldn't record my vote.

Can it be that SEE-BS only accepts a vote for the Kerry puppy?
