Everytime I go to the Swiftvets.com web site, I get a popup ad for Kerry begging for money. Any idea's as to why it is only linked to the Swiftvets.com?
Spyware? It doesn't happen to me. No popups at all.
Swiftvets dont run pop up....what browser and ISP are you using?
Nothing happened to my computer. Dunno...
The Dims are sneaky. Has anyone but me noticed that when a network interviews a Kerry spokesperson and a Bush spokesperson on a split screen that the Dim spokesperson ALWAYS has Kerry/Edwards signs in the background? Everytime. Check it out.
Spyware.
Democrats have placed a spybot on your computer.
I had no problem. Nice though, wonder if you can report Kerry for downloading spyware on a computer.
Get AdAware, etc., and clean out your system.
Then, dump Windows ASAP so it doesn't happen again. :-)
Two suggestions: Download Spybot (http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10289035.html) and the latest updates to remove whatever spyware you have accumulated. Second, switch to a browser that allows you to block popups (firefox -- www.mozilla.org -- is my personal fav.) Good luck!
Download Adaware...and run it -- it will clean out the ad bot you have that is opening the pop-up and run it EVERY DAY. I do the same.
I still use IE, but I have the google toolbar and it has a pop up blocker
Yep...doesn't happen to me either...run a McAfee cleanup
You might have a hijack situation with your computer. Some types of spyware or malware can get installed on your system without your knowledge which can track your internet usage and actually tailor popups based on your viewing habits.
Download Ad Aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware (a free download) and run it to rid yourself of many (if not all) of the spyware on your system.
You can also try using Spybot (I run both Ad Aware & Spybot) which can sometimes find other items not picked up by Ad Aware. That free download is located at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Hopefully this helps.
IE is still essential for Windows Updates, and Microsoft has improved IE's security. But for speed, ease of use (tabbed browsing) and reduced vulnerability to IE targeted attacks, Mozilla's Firefox is an excellent alternative to IE. But Google's taskbar is better than nothing at all. By the way, that link to spybot is broke for some reason. Here is a better one: http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html
Hit and Run poster. I wonder if he is trying to discourage people from going to swiftvets.com
me either.
