Israel, Europe Could Be on Collision Course -Report
yahoo news ^ | 10/14/04 | Matt Spetalnick

Israel could end up on a collision course with the European Union and face sanctions like apartheid-era South Africa unless the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is resolved, a confidential government report warns.

The document, a 10-year forecast prepared by Israel's Foreign Ministry, predicts that the Jewish state could become increasingly isolated internationally as the EU grows more influential, political sources said.

The report says that if the recently expanded 25-nation bloc can set aside internal differences and forge a unified foreign policy, it could "harm Israeli interests" by cutting into the clout wielded by the United States, Israel's chief ally.

Are they specifically using apartheid as their example? If so, why -- Israel grants more freedoms to Arabs than almost any Arab country. Is Europe going to impose sanctions on all the Arab countries, too?

I think if sanctions were imposed on Israel, this would hurt those Arabs that currently live in Israel in addition to Palestinians since the Palestinian economy is linked with Israel's.

Hmmm... if war breaks out they are pretty evenly matched... I'll go with the Israelis, though... lots tougher...

First of all, EU members setting aside their differences... not likely. But even so, Isreal can get anything it needs from the U.S. EU may try to isolate Isreal, but they wont extend it to the US. They have way too much to lose. Their plan is doomed to failure.

Of course the EU is on a collision course with Israel. Or maybe it would be better to say the EU is on a collision course with God...and what a collision it will be! If you want to read tomorrow's news, just read the Bible.

If Israel declared war on all of Europe and then proceeded to occupy its various countries and put its populations in concentration camps, that would be a hoot.

I'd suggest santions against the EU if they do this.

"Yeah, give me a call sometime around the 24th century."

I think it will happen sooner than that. Don't forget, the US is hanging on the precipice of major economic decline. All one needs to do is examine the triple deficits (current account deficit, trade imbalance, national debt). Even the ever-optomistic financial pages are all talking about it. It's not a matter of if, but when. Got Gold???

The Fourth Reich are a bunch of SS wanna bes who are tied at the hip to their islamic "brothers". Don't forget, Hitler and Goubbels wanted Islam for Germany, when it was all over. They saw that Christianity was to weak. The Hitler Body Guard SS division which spearheaded the move through France left its calling card in destroyed Christian shrines and burnt down chapels.

Israel has the better army and nukes. They have at least enough nukes to put much of old Europe back into the neolithic age.

Don't forget, most of those EU members set aside their difference during the early years of WW2 and had no problem fitting into the German European model. All nationalities, except for Russians, Poles and Serbs and Jews and Gypsies were active in the SS with a minimal of a brigade and most had a division or two.

Only when it became obvious the Nazis were loosing did the rats start to jump ship.
