Friday October 15, 2004--The Presidential debates are over and the election is just two-and-a-half weeks away. The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows President George W. Bush with 49% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 46%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.
Voters surveyed last night declared the third and final debate a tie, with fans of each candidate thinking their man won. The number of voters who prefer Bush over Kerry on both national defense and the economy has returned to the levels that existed before the first debate.
In the South Dakota Senate race, Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle and former Congressman John Thune are tied. This is one of seven Toss-Ups that will determine control of the United States Senate.
Just over one-third of the interviews for today's Tracking Poll were conducted following Thursday night's Presidential Debate. The post-debate sample of 1,000 Likely Voters found the President ahead by just under 3 percentage points.
Our latest Electoral College projections show the President ahead with 240 Electoral Votes to 194 for Senator Kerry. This will be updated at 5:00 p.m. Eastern today.
"Does anyone think that the upward trend in the polls for Bush has something to do with John Kerry's "lesbian daughter" remark ?"
I don't think the damage from that is through building. Everyday the Kerry campaign sticks there foot in there mouth again. As long as it is in the news it will continue to hurt Kerry.
I also think the polls are not registering that yet. Very little anyway.
Amen.
Let's presume for a moment the rumor is true...
A donor? That's just not close enough. They haven't got it.

I believe that today's data also reflects a drop off of a really bad day (10/12) for Bush from the 3-day average. I'd wait a day or two more to see if this is a real trend, which might reflect the debate and the Mary Cheney comments. Nonetheless, it's still positive news.
To even bring Ohio into play, they have to swing Wisconin and Iowa back to their side and if they don't, Ohio doesn't get him squat.
Don't listen to what they say, watch where they go.
Ask yourself, why is Edwards in Maryland today and Bush going to NJ?
Very interesting, especially on the heels of the Zogby tracking poll numbers from earlier today. Judging by the last three days, it looks like previously undecided voters are swinging back to Bush, at least in this poll. The job approval numbers are even more encouraging.
The DUmmies are freakin' out. Zogby...now Rasmussen...
One quote, "I thought Kerry had the MO?" ROTFLMAO.
Anyone who cannot admit that GWB solidly beat JK on Wed nite is simply delusional. They are also kidding themselves if they think JK didn't cook his own goose with his Mary Cheney comment.
Message to the John's: any fool knows that you do not mess with family ties. I don't give a rat's behind for what people say in public. In most of America, underneath it all and behind closed doors, having a gay family member is just not simple. You love 'em, and you'll defend 'em but you don't like it advertised. People identified with Cheney on this one.
Mark Rich is al over "Oil for Food" also. That name ring a bell?
FoxNews and Carl Cameron broke the DUI case. It's our "friends" we have to worry about.
---
This must be why sKerry said he thinks Cameron is "fair." LOL. I wonder what his thoughts would be if Cameron broke into the MSM the whole story about his dishonorable discharge. eh?
KerrySpot dissected that. Go to "KEEP AN EYE ON WHAT STATES THEY CAMPAIGN IN [10/14 11:33 PM]" at http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerryspot.asp ...
While Kerry came across awkward and distant. It was his Dukakis 'Kitty rape question' moment, and he fumbled it.
I just spoke to 'a well placed' member of the Ohio Bush-Cheney team and he indicated that our internals show the President ahead! At this point, we're mostly concerned with VOTER FRAUD in Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, and Mahoning counties! [Relative to the latter, we need assertive Ohioans to volunteer as POLL WATCHERS!]
This is yet another poll (Zogby as well) showing that Bush won the 3rd debate and that Bush got a bump as well, despite what liars in the liberal media claimed.
Every woman I know said they HATED the Mary Cheney statement. That may prove to be Kerry's tank ride.
Bush will be in Florida tomorrow, I believe.
Comfortably ahead or slightly ahead?
