In the third debate, John Kerry spoke of his mother's final moments and her words to him:
"Can I say, if I could just say a word about a woman that you didn't ask about, but my mom passed away a couple years ago, just before I was deciding to run. And she was in the hospital, and I went in to talk to her and tell her what I was thinking of doing.John Kerry painted a story of sitting at his mother's bedside as she lay dying in the hospital, reiterating that point twice. However, according to Mrs. Forbes' obituary, she died at home. And she looked at me from her hospital bed and she just looked at me and she said, Remember: integrity, integrity, integrity. Those are the three words that she left me with."
John Kerry will lie about his own mother to win this election. How shameless can a man be?
Bump.
It seems the fabrication is unmistakeable. "These are the words she left me with" would suggest she expired at that moment in the hospital with Kerry by her side. Yet she died at home.
Ask yourself, is Kerry the kind of guy who would spin a sympathetic yarn about his mother if he thought it would get him a few votes? Absolutely.
We gain nothing by going after this. She could have unable to talk when she came home, we don't know, and it's silly to go after Kerry for this when there is plenty other stuff out there. Leave this one alone.
Kerry lied while his mother died.
Give Kerry a week; that conversation will have taken place at her home deathbed.
It really was transparent. I just knew he was lying when he said it. It made me about as sick as when he said "We married up." I knew he was trying to pull a "Reagan."
I almost think he'll pay to have a daughter clipped by a car on Halloween eve, just for sympathy votes. That's how shameless I think Kerry'd be.

I agree with you.
I'm watching to see if cbs covers it. Still watching..
yea, just leave this alone.
Did I read or mis hear...that Kerry was campaigning or traveling out of his state when she died or somewhere...and in fact was not at his mother's bed side when she died?
And think about this for a minute...Why would someone on their dying bed say, "integrity, integrity, integrity," to their son unless there was some unusual reason for it?
This sounds like something Al Capone's mother would say to her son before she died.
Makes no sense for the sender to give out this kind of "order" unless the sendee was in dire need for the advice.

LOL
Leaving all this aside, think about what he said. He told this story to let us know he has integrity. Who does that? You got it...people with no integrity.
I agree this is one that should be left alone. For all we know, she did say in a hospital and slipped into a coma later dying at home.
I think the more revealing point is that, on her deathbed, his mother thought she needed to remind him about integrity.
My mother never talks to me about my integrity, unless it is to say she is proud of it. If I had told her I was planning to run for President and she didn't call me an idiot, she would say, "Your integrity is your greatest asset," or something of that nature.
If his mother actually said that, what does that say about who she thought he was. Was she saying, in effect, "Quit lying, quit lying, quit lying?"
Shalom
Kerry has no Character let alone any integrity... and it will be shown on TV in Stolen Honor.... Let's all hope that america takes John Edwards at his word and spends some time with those that served with Kerry and those that he impacted...
One of the editorials pointed out that Kerry's mother spent her last few words to him to lecture her son to be honest!
Think about it!
Agreed. Besides, she could easily have been dying in the hospital and been brought home for her final hours. It happens all the time.
